Sounds like a NU crowd/
Hofstra never draws. Even when they’re good.
Community colleges usually don’t
What's with the Community College references...you should check out the academic ratings for "National" vs. "Regional"
schools

We don't jack up 3s those last 4 and a half minutes we win
We don't miss the front of two one and one's and another free throw at the end we cover...dems the breaks!

Three of our starters were 6-24 and had 14 points between them. I will take our chances if we see you in DC cause that wont happen again.. Kudos on the win, it seems from the way you act you havent experienced many. Oh, BTW....enjoy the rest of the winter in that cesspool you call home.
Why don't you stick to basketball...what's with disparaging Long Island..perhaps you should take a trip up and educate yourself...I'll take our beaches over yours anytime...take a look at the ratings...and oh by the way I was the SID at Hofstra in the late 70's...check out the records...two NCAA appearances under my watch...and we'll take our chances against you in DC...rather play YOU than Towson.

If you put as much effort into attending games as you do trolling someone else's message board, maybe you could break 100 in attendance.

Nope. We don't jack up these 3s we don't put ourselves in a must foul position.
Yall won, but that was a very winnable game for us where we arguably best ourselves

They also put a lot of effort into keeping teams out of the CAA
Hoftsta doesn't block Stony Brook last expansion cycle the CAA adds Stony Brook and UNCG
Hofstra is the reason we delayed divisions and will now miss out on UNCG

Congrats on your home court win by 2 points?
The fact of the matter is that EVEN with that loss, we are still in sole possession of first place. Will that last? Maybe. Maybe not.
You're problem isn't with us. It's the fact that your team isn't even in 2nd place right now, and likely has not much of a shot at all at first place.
Going to another team's message board to talk junk about a 2 pt win, then calling that board's fans chippy? LMAO. How many times did your mother drop you as a child?
At least Evan has the brains to make a couple posts and move on. I didn't think that Hofstra's only other fan was so far on the spectrum that he can't figure that out.
Good luck the rest of the way fella.

Congratulations on the win. You have a great team and university. Estrada made some professional step back 3 balls when you needed them. Both teams are good.

I missed that he said he'd take their beaches. What a putz.
Congrats Pride your beach is nice for two months, and if you are lucky, and the wind is blowing correctly maybe the sludge from the Hudson doesn't ruin your swimming experience.

See ya'll in DC.
Hofstra fans seem to struggle mightily with statistics.
We are not TIED for the season with anyone in the CAA. UNCW is 10-2 and Hofstra is 7-4. Must be some sort of math deficiency in NY. And I see both Hofstra's fans have wandered over to our boards.
1. I got an 800 on the SAT Math, a 5 in AP Statistics, and other Math accomplishments.
2. I have posted plenty on your forum not near you playing Hofstra.
(02-07-2022 08:09 PM)billthebighawksfan Wrote: Crazy thing was that I was hoping we would shoot a 3 for the win LOL.
I think teams should shoot threes. If you think overtime is 50-50, you're more likely to make a three than to make a two and win in overtime.
(02-08-2022 10:32 AM)jumpinmullet Wrote: Hofstra has no fan base to speak of like most if the northern CAA schools they play in a pro market and get little support .
The last shot was about as good a chance as you could hope for but the other players didn’t try to rebound at all and he missed the shot. Pretty good matchup with Hofstra and I think they will play again in DC .
NYC is a pro market, and if you think Hofstra has low attendance, look at the seven teams in NYC in 2019-2020 (the most recent complete season without a pandemic):
St. John's: 6,236 (CAA teams have averaged more)
Fordham: 1,891
Columbia: 1,487
Wagner: 1,289
Manhattan: 1,143
Long Island: 696
St. Francis (Brooklyn): 530
22 teams of about 350 averaged under 700. In addition to Long Island and St. Francis, four of them are in suburbs of NYC. Incoming teams Monmouth (2,148) and Stony Brook (2,676) are high by the standards of the area.

Doesn't surprise that you revert to name calling and perhaps a geography lesson is in order...the Hudson is nowhere near Long Island sorry...I'm done with you guys, thought we could have a real discussion about hoops but calling our university a junior college disparaging our location and more...beginning to sound more like a JMU board...no thank-you.
And for one of you other geniuses Hofstra is now in third place in the CAA

Clearly Extending from the mouth of the Hudson is "nowhere near". I grew up in the Northeast, I've been there.
"Long Island extends 118 miles (190 km) east-northeast from the mouth of the Hudson River. It is 12–20 miles (19–32 km) wide and has an area of 1,401 square miles"
You get a West north west wind you are definitely in the Hudson water out there, sorry to burst your bubble.

The Flying Douche'Men sure have earned their nickname. When you come to the message board of another university talking smack, maybe you shouldn't be so sensitive? I thought newyawkers had thicker skin?

My tender heart is saddened by our loss.
RIP to any chances of us having to listen to Olympic level mental gymnastics about how New York beaches are superior to those in NC (where hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers vacation to annually).
