Good for them. They're young and healthy. They don't need a "vaccine". Who knows what the long-term effects are.

Yes, this Godless focus on self will surely dig us out of this hell hole.

Then they can not take the vaccine & not play soccer. Works for me.

The entitlement to think you have the right to not take the vaccine & still play soccer @ a public university is truly breathtaking.

What a bunch of totalitarians on here.

I say good for the athletes and I hope they win but the reality is there are a lot of people scared shitless over essentially a flu where your chances of surviving in this age group are over 99%. I believe the courts will rule against them.

The potential downside to taking the vaccine? Many potential side effects, like myocarditis. While the medical establishment downplays it as rare, there have been thousands of cases after vaccination and this age group is the one in which most of these cases have occurred. While you may 'get better' any heart inflammation damage is permanent, with scar tissue forming. If I am an athlete, it could mean the end of my career. Not worth it. The risk outweighs the dubious benefit of a shot which is not even as effective as some therapeutics which would wipe the virus out if used properly.

"My body, my choice" was a real popular slogan in the abortion wars but apparently doesn't apply here. So many of you seem to believe you have the moral right to require others to behave the way you want them to instead of each of us having the right to make our own medical decisions.

We've willfully let ourselves be turned into a nation of poosies and sheep.

Good job. You got in almost every MAGA talking point. And we're the sheep.

Which "medical" decision have you made for yourself? The bleach or the horse dewormer?

Most recent data shows viral load is about the same between vaccinated and nonvaccinated. Individuals with breakthrough infections, asymptomatic or symptomatic
have the same probability of transmission as the nonvaccinated.

Good for the players, hope they win in court. This virus is harmless to them, no need to risk the potential side effects.

Re "My body, my choice" argument:

Abortions aren't highly contagious. COVID-19 is.

For the sake of discussion Switch sports to football.
If football has an outbreak this week, Saturday’s game is canceled do to the number of players quarantined & the university losses about $1 million.

Thoughts?

My thoughts are it's rather silly and asinine to be testing young healthy people. If the Universities want to make that dumb choice, its on them.

Just like sheeple to immediately run to worship at the alter of the almighty government.
The government is all knowing, always right and would never lie to it's citizens.
Some day you'll wake up !

Similar discussion

A few universities including
Boston College to require “Spectators” to have proof of vaccine or negative COVID-19 test for home football games.

There are as many "sheeple" who distrust government (at least when convenient) and believe the government is ALWAYS wrong-lying to them (when it is in cross-purposes to their beliefs).

This government conspiracy is really self defeating, they are only going to kill off the sheeple with the vaccine and be left with all these free thinkers full of zinc and sunshine to try and rule.

It's more like the boy who cried wolf. Tell lies too many
times and people won't believe you even if you're telling the truth.
