Wife and I just set up and LLC. We're working towards going it on our own. We work in the same industry, same company right now. They lose us, they're losing a lot of intellectual capital. Oh well. I can cut out the middle man and make at least 50% more, easily.

Young people without comorbidities are going to start realizing that they are better off getting Covid. There was already reasearch done that shows that natural immunity is as good as the vaccine on the old strains, and its better protection agsint the newer strains. Now we are finding out that immunized people actually spread more of the virus than unvaxxed.

Vax the elderly and those with serious comorbidities, and be done with it.

I don't know how they plan to implement it, but it's a healthcare facility that has been tracking how many of us volunteered for the jab since they first offered it. They also have access to state records, so they can track it that way as well.

As far as the legal challenge, we now have a local college mandating it for employees, plus both Mayo and Ascension Health mandating it. They have some pretty hefty legal teams reviewing this, and based on precedent with other places such as the hospital in Texas, challenging mandatory shots is being shot down in court. I don't have much hope for avoiding it, and unfortunately self-employment isn't an option. Even if I could, I'd be a contractor and would still be subject to terms for contract employment.

Now, I'm not one to agree with lying but if you're going to put me in this position, I'd get a fake "passport" in a heartbeat if I knew where to obtain one.

Federal judges in Texas and Indiana dismissed suits against Houston Methodist and IU. EEOC has always allowed the flu vaccine to be mandatory and they released guidance saying covid could be required for anyone without a religious or medical exemption.

I don't think the legal system is going to protect anyone from an employer requiring it

Yeah the plan is to start the "phase in" process soon. She'll quit first while we use our current company insurance through me. Once we've got a big enough backlog and have figured out the self employed retirement plans and health insurance I'm gtfo.
