A person should NOT be fire for being an idiot. I think she escalated the matter trying to get the guy to STFU and took it too far. I don't think she's racist, she's a hot headed idiot.

It's sneaky, but apparently effective.

So is he there watching birds or is he there to harrass dog owners?

Are you serious? I take that as you either 1. are so inconsiderate to your fellow man that you allow your dog to run around off leash in places where others are walking their dogs on leash. or 2. you have never walked your dog to deal with idiots who let their dogs run off leash.

I take it you're a Nazi at heart and think you should police others. He admitted he threatened her in his own post and that he prepared for confronting dog owners, who obviously let the dogs run free quite frequently.

HER: “What’s that?”

It was reasonable for her to be scared. “I’m going to do what I want, but you’re not going to like it”? That’s a menacing thing to say. He then called the dog over while offering it a treat. He obviously meant her to think he was going to poison her dog to motivate her to leash the animal. By his own admission, he said something calculated to frighten her. Apparently, he does this all the time; he carries dog treats while birding “for just such intransigence.” If there were no threat linked to his offering the dog a snack, he would not have prefaced this action by saying, “You’re not going to like it.” He didn’t say, “Look, let’s be reasonable here, I’ll even give your dog a nice snack to show I mean well.” Mr. Cooper intended to scare Ms. Cooper, he succeeded, and in her fear she called the cops...."

Clearly you are just as ignorant as I thought you were. Enough said, you win the ignorant award for the day. Congrats.

So you can call names, but can't come up with a coherent argument for why your position makes more sense. And you are calling others ignorant?

And the people at Franklin Templeton are idiots themselves for putting out that statement accusing her of being a racist. Anybody with a brain would simply say that person is no longer working here.

Maybe this guy read my original post and expanded on it?!

"If you’ve ever smugly pulled out your cellphone to record a confrontation with a stranger, hoping to publicly humiliate that person and even destroy their life, you’re probably a Karen of the worst ilk. Likewise, if approached by an insufferable busybody who lives to scold people minding their own business, and your first reaction is to call the police, you’re also a Karen. Manhattan is filled with Karens, the meme that once referred to the ‘can I speak to the manager’ lady with stacked hair and chunky highlights that evolved into a way to call out any very annoying person who loves rules and tattling.

It is high Karen season across the country. The coronavirus pandemic has been their time to shine as petty authoritarians feel emboldened to enforce their government’s frivolous rules about masks and social distancing. Not wearing a panty-liner over your face while out for a stroll, you must want people to die, according to the Karen.

But it’s never really about the rules. Karenism is a spiritual malady ...

There are no good guys in this story but there are plenty of villains populating an enduringly gruesome culture of manufactured racial hysteria and moral panic. These creeps, who continue to sneer from the sidelines each time an outrage mob destroys the life of an average person, claim victory when a person is fired in a game only they are playing. Look up the definition of the word ignorant. It is clear to me you have no experience and/or knowledge with this. Go get a dog, walk it daily in a park that is a leash required area and see how it is. I have rottweilers, if someone's dumb*** popapoodledoo runs up on my rottweiler and anything at all happens, my dog is immediately blamed. It is ridiculous. Put your dog on a leash or go somewhere that doesnt require a leash. Until you have dealt with it, you have no idea the issue. It is a real issue, the same as the idiots who call their stupid pet an "emotional support animal" so they can take it where ever they want even though they dont even have basic potty training and pooping and peeing all over the place (which they don't clean up).

RE: What happens when 2 Karens meet
This is what happens when two idiots meet and can’t mind their own business. Their belief that each of them has the right to control the behavior of the other makes me wish I had been there to see it. It would have been glorious watching. Of course I would have stirred the pot.

How often do you get the opportunity for a 2-1. I guess you could call it a Ménage à troll

Sounds like you have a personal problem.04-cheers
BTW, the birdwatching Karen didn't have a dog.

RE: What happens when 2 Karens meet
A bit off topic but:

Don't dogs on leashes become increasingly territorial and/or aggressive when approached by unknown dogs/people as compared to leash free dogs? I feel like I've read that in dog handling articles.

That to say that if it's a leash required area, leash your dog because your happy go lucky free-running pet might freak another out.

Yes indeed, a preview of coming attractions when conservatives are gone and the piranha turn on each other. It would be marvelous if we could get them to do it before conservatives are gone. Every time one of our conservative posters really takes the props out from under one of our libs I visualize Pris dying in Blade Runner. She's laying on the floor flopping all four limbs about and screaming right up until there is silence. It is s precious thought indeed.

Yep. Here in the burbs it's a little different though. Folks get all kids of pissed off if a dog is off leash. It's to the point now that I'll take my lab really early in the morning, like around 6 am, to the local park which has a pond so I can take her off leash and let her swim. At least at that time there aren't any other people around. Growing up out in the country, my dogs were never on a leash.

Anybody see the video shot during the riot in Minneapolis with the woman in the wheelchair who is trying to block the door to Target so the looters can't get in? Rioters beat her, stole her keys and items and emptied a fire extinguisher on her. Cops when they came, told her to just go home. She never left. She is a Karen, too. Seemed proud to retell how they had beat her, etc. Her cause was just different. She thought she was being a hero by trying to deny others their loot. Probably a far left loon, too. Maybe her heart was in the right place...but her head, not so much.

Note: Later there was an nighttime aerial video that showed her get up out of her wheelchair and walk a good 20 feet. Strange.

Stand in that doorway with an AR-15 and none of that goes down.
