Pew Research has the electorate at 35-34-31 D-I-R from 2016. 2020 will looks closer to that than the tabs from this Quinnipiac poll.
And it was lean Dem 51%-Rep 49%. Any poll that doesn't have a demo similar to the numbers you posted above of "Likely Voters" is not a valid poll and just the opposite trying to steer a narrative. What worries me even more is ALL media quote these polls without stating the demographics of the poll.

You do realize that when the election happens, the voters are not evenly split between R's, D's and I's, right? 01-wingedeagle

True; however, do you think many of these polls for public consumption are sophisticated enough to include a turnout model? NFW they do. That's for the internal polls where the pollsters make their real money. So if they want to conduct a national poll for public consumption, they need to do so in a way that accurately represents the country. Quinnipiac clearly does not do that.

Another one of these stupid memes/projections... "Trump won't leave the white house if he loses'... stupid. We have rules, we have laws.

Will Trump and/or some more extreme factions challenge the results if he loses? Maybe... so did 'your' side before so you can quit with the 'how unbelievable' BS.

For me, if it's close... if it matters... If there's remotely reasonable suspicion of misdeeds, I'd absolutely support looking into it. Lord knows your side hasn't forgotten 'Russia', but I don't think it's going to be that close... one way or another. If you have to prove massive corruption and collusion etc etc etc and some smoking guns (not smoke, but guns) don't show pretty quickly, I'm out.

Here's the better question...
If Biden loses, will THE LEFT accept it? You still haven't accepted that Trump won last time.

XACLY! why I love them 'running their pipes'...

If Biden wins, then this country is finished. This is not hyperbole where Biden will be able to enact his vision without any resistance - because I don't believe he'll get a whole lot of anything accomplished because his platform is garbage. My reasoning is that people would be willing to vote for such a grossly incompetent buffoon again despite the Obama legacy. And unlike Obama who was a blank canvas who had moments where he can give a great speech, Biden has always been a moron in public. For fvcks sake, Biden is the guy that:
  • Proudly stood with segregationists and sympathized with these positions.
  • Was blatantly sexist for most of his political career.
  • Was on the wrong side of virtually all of the major historical happenings in our country since he was first elected to office 50 or so years ago.
  • Plagiarized other politicians a number of times and was roasted for it soundly back when the MSM actually cared about their jobs.
  • Was - and still is - grossly wrong on China
  • Is from a family of blatant grifters who try to their hardest to cash in on their political offices (see Hunter Biden as one example).
  • Is such a stupid ass buffoon and has virtually non-stop gaffes that get excused way to often by the MSM. If you are a fvck up in little things, you most surely are one when the issues are much larger.

Despite all of this that we know about Biden, if he does win the election then it's clear that the majority of Americans sympathize with the Biden/Sanders platform. That means that hard work and ingenuity no longer means squat, and that most people are simply looking for a handout. Game over for us then...

JMHO.

Biden has no chance. But if he does win, we will not stoop to the insanely treasonous levels displayed by the left from THE MOMENT Trump won to the current temper tantrum we are seeing right now.

It’s painfully obvious the left hasn’t accepted the 2016 election results.
Conservatives just don’t do that.

The question is beyond hypocritical but obviously par for the course for liberals.

What other options do we have?

I truly believe that if Biden wins, he is only a Trojan Horse for a socialist/communist takeover of the country. He will be out of office by mid-term, and his VP will be the president in name too, after being president in fact for the first couple of years. The US will be essentially finished. It was a grand experiment while it lasted.

What I don't know yet is what I intend to do about it if it happens.

4 more years of Trump will give time back for the inevitable takeover of the far left.... ideally Republicans need another great messenger of conservatism. 4 ****** years of democratic policies may show how ridiculous it is.

IMO conservatism as a political platform has not succeeded in gaining broad base appeal. What the GOP needs to pivot to is champions of capitalism. The key to that plan means eliminating cronyism, breaking up monopolies, reshoring jobs, increasing competition and implementing a cogent fiscal policy.

Maybe, but modern conservatism is more of a white grievance movement that is becoming increasingly isolated from the rest of the electorate. It doesn't represent what most people think of traditional conservatism. That's a problem for R's both in the short and long term.

You’re obviously correct with that being a major obstacle. While getting a law past seems impossible, what can be done is sending the reps and senators back home. They can show up in DC for two weeks in Q1 and Q3. Otherwise they can Zoom/C-Span their meetings from their home states.

I've always felt that the difference between classical conservatism and liberalism is the delta of the speed of change. While I don't agree with the white grievance description, we agree that its current presentation lacks broad base appeal.
