Actually the lie IS negated if the entire purpose of the interview was simply to trick someone into committing a crime. I believe that is the very definition of "entrapment". The fact an ex-DOJ official doesnt know this probably explains why they are no longer with the DOJ. Worse yet "lying" is often a subjective charge. That term could be applied to statements that are simply erroneous due to a faulty memory or due to a statement that simply is at odds with the recollections of another interview subject. "Lying" can be lots of things depending on what the DOJ wants it to be in a given circumstance.

Not a laughing matter when it comes to Flynn, but damn people.
6800! more docs that oopsies, we somehow missed that entire tractor trailer assload of documents in the case we've been ordered to turn over.
Yea, nothing to see here. No truth to the stories of shady backroom dealing and a run away Bureaucracy that makes it up as they go along and don't think the rules should ever have to apply to them. Why? Well, *sniff* WE have a higher calling than you plebes.

Sounds like Flynn will easily be able to cover his legal fees from his lawsuit against Covington.

Actually the lie IS negated if the entire purpose of the interview was simply to create a crime. I believe that act is called "entrapment".
Then there is also failing to advise him of his rights and coercing him to confess in order to avoid prosecuting his son. Those are directly applicable.
RE: Bartiromo - Flynn to be completely exonerated this week
That all these things are still slowly trickling out makes me think the FBI needs to be burned down and start over. There are clearly many in the organization that are more committed to the organization than the constitution or justice.

regardless of the civil reward that's a 'given', for a man like him based on his service, it's something that will always be bitter 'til his last breath....
dirty politics is why I've abhorred such during my lifetime...this one was the beginning of the donks showing their 'true blue' after their 'anointed saint cank' got her poosy stomped in '16......
I've said it too many times.....back a dog in the corner w/o a reason to defend, and they'll come out 'biting' like none other....that's the opposite of my 'shake' on the pubs.....they just bend over or flip on their back and barely state, "whoofy woof"...

She's wrong to the extent she claims there is no Brady material. The interview strategy portion is potential Brady material because it could demonstrate that the government was trying to set Flynn up. More important, are the agents notes that Flynn was truthful in answering question and did not lie. That's the primary Brady issue. And I'm a current not former prosecutor. Failing to turnover exculpatory information contained in investigation materials is a horrible Brady violation. Ms. McQuades argument is nothing but a straw man.

It is according to the current federal prosecutor who has stepped in to look into this. Thats who matters. Not some "former" hack.

RE: Bartiromo - Flynn to be completely exonerated this week
Looking up Robert Kelner, Flynn's former lawyer, he testified against Flynn's partner!!!! Flynn was considered a co-conspirator. TOTAL conflict of interest. In addition, maybe the prosecutors made a deal with Kelner for his testimony. Sounds like those prosecutors' files need to be investigated along with Kelner.
