7. Tulane
8. Houston
9. Tulsa
10. USF
11. ECU
12. UCONN
UCF over SMU solely based on road performances against bowl-eligible teams (teams all currently with winning records). This is why we have some unusually high ratings with some of the computers.

I mean, sure... there are many reasons you can justify putting Cincinnati over Memphis. Better loss (OSU vs. Temple), record vs. common opponents, and conference record. Those are all valid metrics, but my eyes tell me that Memphis is a better team right now and I would consider Memphis the favorite on a neutral field. The fact the game coming up is on the road makes it even more skewed towards Memphis in my opinion. If I were a betting man and had no fan allegiance, I would put my money on Memphis all the way up to about a TD spread advantage -- although I think the betting line won't get that high.
The betting line is Memphis -11 in Vegas and -7 at OddsShark, as of this morning.
I would have guessed around -5. But I believe -7 is more than reasonable based on what I've seen lately. -11 seems awfully high since UC has the defense to grind it out and slow Memphis to some extent, but regardless, I'm not feeling as optimistic as I'd like to as a UC fan.
- 5 or 6 at game time imo.
From an open of -12 in Vegas, -5 or -6 would take a huge amount of more money on UC and the points, in the end, to make that happen, since as the points become less, the money shifts to the other side.
Won't matter, anyway. Boils down to this: Which offense can score more on the other defense? I like Memphis' chances, especially at home.
And the most recent common opponent, both played in Tampa, is USF...

Memphis - not zero conference losses. will be getting one more.
Navy - I guess I have to put you here. Still pissed at you about that ND thing.
SMU - you woulda coulda shoulda beat Navy.
Temple - You got nothing on us now. Eat that.
UCF - having your "I told you so" season that everyone, well, told you was coming.
Tulane - Nice improvement. You're no longer total nerds.
Houston - half a team only plays half a game every week. Did I hear you... won... yesterday?
Tulsa - I'm still on board with you even though you couldn't beat the quitters.
USF - Still think you would win against...
ECU - you almost lost to UConn dude.
The team that wants so bad to drive to basketball away games. - Losers.
LOL. Cincinnati has to be the luckiest football team on the planet right now:-)
Their arrogance is so unfounded and laughable.
Humble pie being served the day after Thanksgiving.
