SBC football has ranked higher than CUSA 3 of the last 4 years including this one.
CUSA would be a lateral move at best.

CFP execs: “it’s working! We’ve turned the peasants against each other!”
Mike Aresco knows what’s up. It’s in the CFP’s best interest to keep one conference from getting the NY6 spot too many times in a row, because it will look to the common football fan like that conference is as good as the chosen conferences. So they’ve set their glass ceiling and boosted the best non-AAC G5 schools so they can keep us out.
Much respect to AppState and Boise, but the point is that the AAC has 5 teams in it better than anyone you’ve played. I’m glad our commissioner is fighting for our conference. Meanwhile, the other G5 commissioners have been silent. Maybe they know they don’t have a case? Maybe they are scared to ruffle feathers? I don’t know, but I’m glad Aresco is making noise.

Yep. We will proudly climb up the rope to the treehouse and pull it up behind us.

It was the only game I watched. I was curious and nothing else was on TV. That was enough. You guys look like skinny midgets next to the players on AAC teams. Tulsa would kick your ass. Seriously.
So the answer is both. Guess how we looked when we dominated the LOS versus NC, SC, and ULL?
Keep doubling down on stupid.
Yep you did beat some juggernauts for sure. Boise beat an FSU that was horrible, but they're ahead of App. I'd love to see those 2 play. Problem is now App is going to be a stepping stone. Drinkwiecz or however you spell it is a 3 year rental. He's good, but he also got the keys to a Porsche. If he keeps it going he'll get the big $$$ offer that most normal humans won't be able to resist.

I honestly can't tell if half these post are tongue-in-cheek smack talk or if there are that many ignorant fans here. The Sun Belt is typically the third best G5 conference and App has dominated other G5 conferences. They are top in attendance in the Sun Belt and would be at the top in cusa. App is not like Western Michigan or Northern Illinois... We've averaged over 10 wins per season since the transition in 2014, won all 4 bowl games, won the conference the past 3 years, and are likely to win 13 games this year. This isn't a program that just got lucky with one recruiting class 4 years ago.

Dominate the CUSA?
