The interesting thing about that comment is the amount of license plates from your neck of the woods that, during Temple games, are here where there's nothing to do getting their sunburn on.

I was talking PA plates, but we get plenty of the pee-yellow tags as well. Your brethren keep getting lost on the way to Myrtle Beach.

I’m Jewish and not lower middle class. We don’t go to Myrtle. Not my ‘brethren’.

Hahaha I had to help somebody with PA plates this summer who got stuck on a OBX beach because they didn’t take the air out of their tires.

LOL what is the point of saying you’re Jewish?? I’ll let “not lower middle class” slide because Myrtle Beach is a shithole. But come on dude that’s probably the douchiest post I’ve ever read on here.

It's gonna take a bit longer than most schools.

Tulane has the problem of most urban, private, elite universities....locals think we look down our noses at them and there's a bit of a divide. BUT......I have full faith in the current administration to bridge the divide that our last President created over 20 years. Prez Fitts has been exactly what we've needed.

And New Orleans has crazy high viewing/attendance numbers for Saints/high school/college ball. Once we rebuild the relationship with the locals, there's no reason we can't average 30-35k even if our stadium can't hold it currently.

29+k is great for Temple without a home game with Penn State or Notre Dame. They are the only two teams to sell out the LINC and get Temple's average up to 35k. I remember the years off 8k averages or less when they were kicked out of the BE. Massive improvement on their part. Besides Maryland can't put a decent crowd in their own stadium let along in the opposition's stadium. They don't travel well at all. 07-coffee3

Attendance rankings based on % capacity would be interesting to see. Tulsa is at 74.8 %.

Let's see, the gazebo holds 24, so about 18 in attendance?

Ah...yeah...there is a very good reason why Tulane will never average 35,000 a game...its probably because your stadium has 25,000 seats (capacity of 30,000).

https://news.tulane.edu/pr/tulane-names-...an-stadium

From link above

To date, the university has raised $45 million of the $55 million needed to construct the stadium, which will have 25,000 seats, and a total capacity of 30,000. Tulane is raising the money through private donations via the Home Field Advantage campaign.

I'm moving to NOLA in a few months after living in Louisiana for 7 years. Is there any reason Tulane lost its local support beyond performance on the field? For a city so proud of itself, you'd think the local team would get some love.

If I end up living in the Lower Garden District or somewhere nearby, I'll probably attend a fair number of games myself.

I think a listing relative to student body would be interesting to see.

Navy's 29,616 is 673% of the Brigade of Midshipmen.

I didn't realize enrollment was that small. Is there a regular base there as well? Seems like more than 4k Navy folks are there for games I've seen, rather than just people off the streets.

I love the Navy game, atmosphere, and stadium. Great game to attend. I just wish they would quit kicking our butts every time we play 03-banghead
