Booneshine has jumped ahead this year.

Dont think so.....
AMB is one of the best I've had and im in Charlotte with a few around.

They have a higher quantity of brews at any given time, but the quality at Booneshine has crept ahead.

Just FYI, I get free beer from the AMB tailgate every game.

They have always been really generous, which is awesome. The first trip to Montgomery included about 6 or 7 free cases of Long Leaf, Honey Badger and Black Gold. It was a very heavy tailgate haha.

Went to Boone this weekend and hit all these places based on recommendations. Can confirm AMB is GOAT in Boone.

(1st) ULL wins this one hands down.
-Parish Brewing Co.
--Ghost and the Machine is probably the best IPA brewed in the South\
--Other seasonals are top notice. I am a big fan of their barrel-aged big ales.

(2nd) GSU
-NEAR the Campus
--Scofflaw
--Orpheus
--Burnt Hickory
--Wild Heaven
--Wrecking Bar
--[Hopefully soon] Mazurt
----If Mazurt ever opens up GSU will be first.

(3rd) USA
--Fairhope

Notable shout-outs

Texas St
--Nothing really in San Marcos that's worth going out of the way for, but if you are a true beer fan Jester King is close. Probably the most beautiful brewery I have ever been to. Awesome beer too.

Coastal
--Same as TSU. A drive, but Charleston is worth it. People always talk of Asheville as the "beer destination in the south". Naw. Charleston is. Westbrook, Coast, Charles Town, Edmund's Oast, Holy City, etc.

App St
- As the poster and many others mentioned, so many breweries. Plus, and I may be wrong, but I believe App is the only school in the conference to offer courses on brewing. They have a brew-house on campus!? Right?

To sum it up. ULL wins out because Parish is just that good. One of the best breweries in the South. ATL has an awesome scene but none of them really are at the level of Parish. If Mazurt ever gets their stuff together than GSU will be in first.
Many other campuses are within a good drive of amazing breweries but unfortunately are not home to any that are worth writing home about.

Bayou Teche Brewing is pretty good too!

Do you know anything about the new one they are building down town?

Sawbriar. They are apparently having trouble leasing a place to brew and have a taproom.
