I've been to Wichita middle of nowhere Kansas, our behind the times city is 10x better.
Shut yo mouth son 03-shhhh

EDIT:
And since we're on a sports fourm.. our football is better.. oh wait.. our NBA team is better oh wait..
Oh y'all have a basketball team right.. haha get ready to be Sho¢ked by the Tigers on a regular now 03-wink

We'll just ignore the fact that Memphis is basically Detroit Lite on basically any "top 50 worst cities in the US" or "top 10 highest crime cities in the US" list you care to point your google-fu compass towards. Because: #ButOurSuburbsAreReallyNeat, right? We'll just ignore all the stats that say Wichita has a lower unemployment rate, higher incomes, lower poverty, and a higher proportion of college graduates. The difference is big in some of those criteria.

And please with the big city bravado horse shart; metro Memphis is the size of OKC. Big effing deal! OMG!!! Gonna go home and plan a week's vaca to OKC, and then next month one to Memphis!!! We're going to be exposed to such urban sophisticates and cosmopolitan types!!!! #YOLO y'all!!

No one... exactly no one... in this country is lining up to move to or visit either town. Neither one is a vacation destination in the slightest sense. Neither is circled on the refrigerator of even one tragically hip millennial just about to graduate college.

My lord I don't even know why I'm even responding to you. You're like an internet embodiment of why maybe eugenics isn't really all THAT bad.

Look in the mirror, pards.

Talk about sour grapes.

He wrote 4 lines and got you to write an entire textbook supporting eugenics. You've definitely lost the mad wars.

Unlike Detroit, the wealthiest parts of metro Memphis are in the urban core--Central Gardens, Chickasaw Village, and Shady Grove, not in the suburbs.

Memphis is a very nice city. It is also very polite to call the areas around Memphis the suburbs, because it looked like the country to me.

Lol... you can’t be serious with that line of smack. WSU’s first AAC season had a win total and final standing that owns anything Memphis has ever accomplished in the AAC.

Oh, and Memphis isn’t in CUSA anymore either. Derp...

Be right back. Since we’re running with TV memes based on locales I’m going to go grab a few COPS gifs to represent Memphis.

RE: People moving out of Memphis, Hartford and Wichita
I'm not making this up when I inform everyone that Wichita has an unaffiliated "professional" baseball team called the Wingnuts. Its name honors the folks who run the state government and, in the process, have run the state's finances into the ground. Wingnuts, Kansas, and trickle-down economics -- a match made in heaven.

On the plus side, if a guy accidentally (or even intentionally) drops a bowling ball on any Wichita street, he doesn't have to worry about it rolling away from him. The whole town is flat as a pancake. Boring...

Did anyone on this thread claim that Wichita was a 5-Star vacation destination?

Some of you people are so damn insecure that you forgot what the initial argument was about: Memphis isn’t quite as good as sliced bread either.

By the way, I love the flat digs. As if staring at a bunch of hills with some trees on them makes a place so much more better.
