In the last Spring practice interview Lester was really talking up Emanuel Jackson. Perhaps another victim of the depth chart?

Yep. Beal, O. Jackson, E. Jackson, Anderson, Lovely all at corner. Plus a few more good freshmen coming in.

Shudder to think Lester might be recruiting better players than the almighty Fleckenstein... 05-stirthepot As a whole.

Well, looking at the 2018 class....yeah I'd say so. It's pretty damn impressive.

Granted, we still need to wait and see what they actually do in college.

Rodney Graves WR
Brendan Tabone QB
Derrick Mitchell P
Keenan Erb K
Nick Matich DL
Jackson Knipper DL
Elliot Jordan OL
Austin Regan K
Jason Evans K
Martin Diaz LS (maybe wish we had him for next yr?)
Graves was a redshirt fresh that is transferring..and Jackson Knipper was a walkon freshman.

Mitchell is 31, just bought a house, married, he more than helped Western, wouldn’t expect him to stay. We have the #4 ranked punter in the nation coming in. Matich will be missed, but was often injured. Others weren’t going to see the field.

On Twitter he says he was released from the team to pursue other opportunities. It looks like he's another depth chart victim. There's a lot of talent stacked up at O-line right now.

They finally added an option to view the roster in a traditional list format. Just click Roster View - Grid.

Finally!

We'll know for sure in 2-3 years.

I'm going to guess some combination of Novoselsky, Kanz, Moore, and Brooks.

Starters are likely Novo and Kanz.

Who is this Reed somebody referenced earlier? Don't see him on the Roster. I hope he's not an incoming Freshman that somebody is projecting for a starting job. 04-jawdrop

C Keenoy
RG Juriga
LG Caliendo
RT Noveleky
LT Kanz or Doyle

Not sure who the back ups will be

It's not out of the realm of possibility for Reed to come in and compete for the starting spot.

RE: 2018 Roster
WMU better land about 4 quality offensive lineman in this 19' class. Dellinger coming out of high school was considered a good one. I think Jay Moore has the inside track on the starting job at LT. Should have good feet as he was a basketball player in high school.

I think...

LT Moore
LG Caliendo
C Keenoy
RG Juriga
RT Kanz

Doyle and Novoselsky probably should be starting, but I just think that when it comes down to it, Lester and crew are either going to try and start their guy, or start a guy that has a couple of years left.

I would be disappointed if we are so weak at OL that a freshman-however talented-vied for playing time. I've been watching WMU football since 1973 and the only true frosh I can recall getting real playing time were Gary Vanderweele in 1984, Paul Hutchins in 1988 and of course Keenoy at Center.

Vanderweele was thrust in late in the 1984 season owing to major injuries in the OL. Hutchins got some spot duty in 1988. Keenoy started, but we were really shy at Center that year.

We should have plenty of depth in the OL where we don't need to use a freshman and blow his redshirt season.

RE: 2018 Roster
Okorafor played a significant amount as a true frosh as well.

Reed was more highly recruited than Keenoy and Okorafor combined.
