The answer to that is not relevant. You’re not going to set your luxury box prices based on the price of UC‘s luxury boxes. Your luxury box prices will be set based on your own seating. So if prime season tickets are at one level at Wichita State then your luxury boxes will be even more. So it really doesn’t matter what any other school’s prices are.

Unc's arena holds like 20k and dukes tickets are probably crazy pricey

WSU doesn't need money, unlike the rest of us.

no luxury boxes is small time
Luxury boxes severely lower the crowd noise.
uh the also severely offer a school much larger revenue streams
smh
your arena is small time, I don't care how loud it is....you need luxury boxes.
Wait until Cincy play sin Koch arena and then come back and tell us if you still think it is small time.

A school can never have too much money, but WSU doesn't have to be as money hungry for one reason. NO FOOTBALL, which is a huge money drain on most programs.

this place oughta be swell after uc loses to wichita? st a couple times. the well deserved swagger of their fanbase will drop a collective nut on our faces. were you f*ckers this brash in the turdbegone age? i didn't read any of the thread, i just wanted to put this somewhere. this seems convenient. this all stems from the inevitable hiring away of marshall to arch rival kansas st

RE: Wichita State acclimating to the AAC
Wichita State used to get $26k for a pair of choice seats. Now they are auctioning off seat openings with some sort of license fee. Several years ago they raised around $400k just for the opportunity to bid on a smattering of seats that came open. I would suspect a pair of floor seats will set you back $50-100k when it's all said and done now.
There was talk about hanging 8-12 luxury boxes on the east side of the arena adjacent to the offices. I believe they would kind of be peeking through the roof. It would be a weird deal. There is absolutely no desire to turn Shocker Basketball into an NBA experience. Ask Kelvin Sampson about the other night when the volume in Koch Arena ratcheted to 11 and he sat there slack-jawed mumbling FML... Sampson never heard it that loud his entire career and that includes Oklahoma. Koch Arena at its volume limit is unsurpassed in college basketball.

I made a prediction that 33% of the Shocker's conference games will involve an end-of-the-bench clearing scenario at the 10 minute mark of the 2nd half. So far we are 1 for 2 in scrub sightings. It's lunacy to call any Shocker player a "scrub" on a team of this depth... but you guys know what I mean... a starting lineup for ECU or USF.

I'm disappointed in you though. I expected you to fill in the blanks on who 1st and 2nd place would be. You know this drill HU...

Oh I know, but you may have to spell it out to the lesser fans on this board.
1st - Shockers
2nd - Shockers 2nd Unit
3rd - Tulsa/Cincy/Temple/UCF/Tulane - all 5 teams are interchangeable at this point IMO
4th - SMU
5th - Houston
Last place - UConn/Memphis/USF/ECU
People laugh when I type the Shockers in 1st and 2nd place but... did you know that our 2nd Unit was Darral Willis, Markis McDuffie, and Austin Reeves the other night against Houston? A team in which we could have beaten by 70 had we kept our foot on the gas?
Scary stuff...

Neither do Kansas or UCLA. KU even has a bunch of old wooden bench seats with no back that are very uncomfortable to sit on. But I don't think anyone would call them small time. When you have rabid fans and a good product you don't need to lure them in with luxury boxes and extra amenities.

but seriously, ultimate fanboy, what school is marshall waiting for? once bill self goes to north carolina or duke, you gotta be shitting your pants. wichita state's days are numbered. you'll never achieve greatness if you don't achieve it now. godspeed and welcome to 'merican

RE: Wichita State acclimating to the AAC
We have just barely begun the conference season and our conference mates are already trying to send our coach somewhere else? Sheesh... So far Coach Marshall has been able to upgrade his job without moving from Wichita but if he should decide to go elsewhere we fans would have to wish him well and go looking for a new coach. We have gotten used to having a great coach in our last two hires and I doubt seriously our AD would accept anything less for the next one. The Shockers know what it is like to have many years of irrelevance and I don't believe any of them want to go there again. :)

you can't guarantee success man. hiring the right coach isn't a f*cking fool proof science. it's luck, because you obviously aren't going to chase someone who's talents you don't admire. sh!t happens. look at the current state of hoops in the state of indiana. don't get me wrong, i want marshall on the frontier of the american. i'm just sayin', it's inevitable. he's conceivable the most alluring coach amongst the blue bloods. maybe not? he was smart not to go indiana, that state's a graveyard for a hot bed of hoops. but tiny butler perseveres. the concentration of quality programs in that state is unparalleled, anyway. just saying he passes up a lot of step up gigs. to his credit, lots of others did too.
the call will come. it always comes

Negatory...FAKE NEWS!
You are 0-2 with your claim. But you should quite easily be in 33% range after today.
Don't pad your stats homie.

1. KU despises him
2. He's too much of a douche for UNC and Duke
3. UCLA already called.
4. UK fans went after his wife
And look at that we're already out of blue bloods.
Go away.
