Folks look at our FB program and its struggles and find this all perplexing
But in only looking at the FB record and dismissing us because of it, they don't realize who they are ****ing with
We are the the biggest school in the great state of Texas and one of the biggest in the nation.
We have a 10 BILLION dollar endowment because Texas A&M Petroleum Engineers run this states energy sector and companies like Exxon Mobile
We are tied for more Fortune 500 CEO alumni than anyone else
We are a one of just six Senior Military Colleges recognized by the DOD
We are an AAU school that routinely tops the charts for research levels conducted each year
We ARE the (Texas) Senate
To say we care about our beloved Fightin' Texas Aggie FB team and want to WIN is to say the Atlantic Ocean is DAMP
So yeah.
There's a reason you all voted us in.
Yeah, we know this, or at least I do and have stated as much on the main board, especially in the Jimbo Fisher thread. So my question is why haven't you produced? The SEC wouldn't mind some production out of A&M in terms of on field success. So what's holding this juggernaut back? You had all of this money and backing 5 years ago and Johnny Manziel at QB? There's something wrong within your athletic department or you would already have hired the best coach and won a natty.
We voted you in because we knew all of this. Now how about producing!
Your dog has a great pedigree, but so far he doesn't hunt. Texas has been down for a decade and he hasn't hunted. I think you've take step #1 finally. You've hired a proven coach instead of taking Houston's next hope. Now learn to keep your danged recruits at home and out of Oklahoma and hire a great D.C. and you'll be there.
The Aggie's cheese has been that putrid defense you kept running out on the field. But that seemed to be a Big 12 hangover. Defense still wins the SEC. Clemson finally started winning because they finally started prioritizing defense. I don't know what the heck UT's problems are but they seem to be systemic too.
Bear and Saban have a few things in common, but chief among them is that they both kept the boosters in their place. Tennessee, Texas, A&M, and from time to time my Auburn have all had fatal cases of boosteritis.
Now we have Sankey Pankey going on. A commish who heretofore hasn't taken the firm hand to stop this nonsense between schools and coaches which under Slive had a lid clamped down on it.
There is no disdain for taking A&M, but there are competitive expectations that have thus far not been met.
