With that much money it doesn't matter if you fail and never coach again because you're set for life. So it's really up to Frost about whether he wants to take the money and then be fired in 3-4 years from Nebraska or wants to build a legacy at UCF over decades.

How is Nebraska a career killing job?

They are like Tennessee. A ton of tradition and a fan base with crazy expectations but a big demographic problem. Not many elite recruits in their state so they have to recruit nationally. Also they don’t fit in the B1G and now have not foothold in Texas, a state they have to recruit heavy.

Frost won't turn down his alma mater. Heck, they may offer him 7M a year. I know Knight fans don't want to hear that, but there's no way he turns down Nebraska, a place he won a share of the NC under Osborne, for UCF. Other schools, sure he would turn them down, but I just don't see him turning down Nebraska if push comes to shove.

That’s fine. I hope they offer him 7. He has a $4 million buyout and we’ve been fund raising to keep him so we’ll have a nice salary to attract new talent and contribute to new facilities if it happens.

How’d you get to know Scott so well? (Just assuming from your post you’re on a first name basis with him.)

It's just common sense.

Would Frost turn down, say, a Minnesota or Iowa State? Quite possibly. But not Nebraska.

No one ever believes that it will happen to them, until it does. See Cincy, WVU, Memphis, Houston etc....

If you actually read any of UCF fan posts, you'd realize that no one believes he will NEVER leave. We do believe, for VERY good reason, that he will not leave NEXT SEASON.

Believe me, I do not take any delight in this happening. I think it is complete and utter bull ****. There should be some sort of contract interference in this situation. But it is gonna happen.

RE: Unconfirmed Report: Nebraska, Frost "close" on contract, $35M, 7 years
I strongly assume that the top coaches are going to leave their programs with so many P5 ($) programs available.

Teams looking for, or potentially looking for, a new HC (my quick list, probably missing a few)

- SEC: Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Florida
- B10: Nebraska, Illinois (*/?)
- B12: Kansas (*/?), Texas Tech (?)
- ACC: UNC (?)
- Pac12: Oregon St, UCLA (?),

* = poor enough program, may not get Frost, Norvell, ect from AAC
? = not necessarily making a move?

With that much traffic, i can't imagine either Frost or Norvell being at UCF/Memphis next year. I can hope, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Speak for yourself. I expect him to leave. I don't expect him to leave for a 7 year contract.
