I'd say losing to CMU + losing to Akron + Any-Other-MAC-Loss = FAILED Season. Going 8-4/6-2 wouldn't be a failed season, IMO. Especially with new QBs + WR set (and some RBs limping around). I would say 7-5/5-3 wouldn't be a failed season -- as long as we beat CMU at home, as it'd just be a not-happy/not-sad adjustment year.

Not if we split, though. Example end-of-season if we lose to CMU, but beat everyone else (which includes @Toledo+@NIU), tied with Toledo & NIU @ 6-2.

NIU 2L: @Toledo, WMU
WMU 2L: Akron, CMU
CMU 4L: *Miami-OH, *Toledo, EMU, NIU
EMU 4L: *Ohio, *@Toledo, WMU, @NIU

This Basic scenario: We'd Win the Tie-breaker. We'd beat both who we're tied with.

So basically, if we beat @NIU & @Toledo, we got a good chance. ANY year, we have a good chance doing that.

- We'd need CMU to lose to EMU OR NIU. Pretty much a given. Avoids 4-way split with them beating us. If they beat EMU but upset NIU, that'd be great.
- We'd need NIU to lose to @Toledo or @CMU or EMU. Decent shot they'd lose to one of those. EMU's tough, and NIU doesn't like Mt Pleasant.
- We'd need Toledo to lose to NIU or @Ohio or @BGSU. I say @BGSU because of rivalry. So beating NIU but losing to one of those two on the road is a possibility.

So it's not a given that we'd be out if we lose to CMU but win out including @Toledo + @NIU. Much better chance of us winning the MAC West doing that, than, after losing to CMU at home, running the table regardless. :)
