Are p5ers seeking higher FBS classification?
If so us non p5 conferences need to start our own real non committee playoffs before the inevitable happens and that would really mean FCS status
We need to step up and walk through the door that is open before it closes
If the p5ers get a higher classification then all bets are off but if we can get a few years of our own playoffs on TV as FBS equals then this would water down the p5 higher classification when it happens.
Our options are few at this late stage, it really is going for broke

RE: Are p5ers seeking higher FBS classification?
There is a 12 year CFP agreement between all FBS conferences. Personally, I don't see a split coming---there are just too many reasons that don't make it a great option (the main one being they already have autonomy and can do what they want--no need to split). However,--if it were to occur---it wouldn't happen until after that CFP agreement expires in 9 more years.

Are aliens attacking this Sunday?
If so us non Aliens need to start building bunkers before the inevitable happens and that would really mean eradication of Earthlings or worse.
We need to step up and walk through the door that is open before it closes severing our heads
If the aliens are sucessful in their nvasion then all bets are off but if we can get a few years of survival and resistance then this would water down alien invasion when it happens.

This already exists. It is called the FCS or aka D-1aa. You're welcome to give it a try.

RE: Are p5ers seeking higher FBS classification?
The split, as I speculate, will be for financial reasons.
It may be too challenging for a MAC school, who is collecting $600K/yr, to compete with an ACC team, who is collecting $23M/year.
Lazy rivers, like what UCF is putting in and funded by student university fees, may experience a student revolt.
Compare this to travel, like Michigan's visit to Italy, that is paid by athletic department revenue from media rights.
The money that conferences receive is changing college football. Losing at Indiana or Kansas may find her silver lining when benefits get thrown in.

The P5 got the dollars and autonomy. What else is there?

Hey, are you really a Houston fan? I notice most of the threads you start are about the P5 breaking away. I hope you aren't an espn plant trying to get this G5 playoff thing going...

I mean I want to see two FBS divisions, I know this will never happen but I can try
Yes Iam a cougar fan, let's meet at rudyards pub for a beer and you won't be asking that question again
Correct, Iam asking questions about p5 separation in a way that might look strang, but Iam looking for information and feed back from such questioning
No not an espn plant, Iam just a simple Amish farmer in my village where Iam an elder, we are collecting wax today to make candles for use at night for illumination
