Frank Wilson spent 1 year at Southern Miss under Fedora. Rumors quickly began to spread surrounding his means of recruiting. Many felt that we were lucky that he quickly moved on.

UTSA fans, just be hopeful that he doesn't upset the wrong program(s) with his recruiting. Ole Miss did just that, and the NCAA has been living in Oxford for a few years now.

Yes it is. And I assume that every staff in the country has coaches that cheat in some manner or another. The 2 keys to avoiding the NCAA seem to be... (1) discretion and (2) not making the wrong team/coach mad.

Frank Wilson wouldn't have gotten the job if he didn't get the recruiter of the year award a few times. I don't know what he did or didn't do but if he does well at UTSA it could earn him a nice multimillion dollar contract at a bigger program. We shall see.

What does that even mean? USM is dirt poor so he sure as hell wasn't providing recruits the usual incentives that big P5 programs who cheat provide. No recruiting violations to his name at any of his stops, yet we're supposed to be shaking in our boots about the path he'll lead UTSA down because of some rumors a couple salty USM fans heard almost a decade ago.
