A lot of that will depend on what other teams make the tournament. Also Ohio currently has a higher ranking than Akron in RPI, BPI, KenPom and Sagarin. If Ohio wins this Friday and then wins the tournament they will be 22-10 and no worse than a 14 seed IMO. Whichever team wins the tournament will have gone on a run that will improve their rankings in all four.

24 years. Not since Ball State was a 15 seed in 1993.

The current team that is sitting with the #4 seed and is regarded by some as the best team right now has a 13-15 record -v- D1 competition. If that doesn't have 15 seed written all over it, I don't know what does.

But if they win Friday and win the MAC Tournament, that all the sudden becomes 17-15 and most likely with wins over some combo of Akron/Ohio/UB/Kent State.. To me that says #14 seed

The only reason UB might not get a 15 seed would be ... At tourney time the record (assuming we win out) would be 17-15/18-15 and it would be our third straight year.
Obviously we could still get a 15 seed but I would expect UB to draw a 14 or maybe 13 if we win out.
But there is a whole mess of good teams between now and me caring about seeds.

Last year the 15 seeds were as follows
UNC-Asheville - 22-11 Big South
Cal State Bakersfield - 22-8 WAC
Weber State - 26-8 Big Sky
Middle Tennessee - 24-9 C-USA
A 20-14 Buffalo was a 14 seed lmand the MAC was a much better conference last year.
I don't see a 17-15 WMU being anything better than a 15.

Akron was a 14 in 2011 according to the MAC Record Book.

The MAC Record Book is wrong (shocker). They were a 15 seed that faced 2 seeded ND.

Had someone send me a link to this site this morning. It gives probabilities for each team getting each seed they possibly can. It does take in to account "projected winners" of future games, but it would at least show the seeding range for each team.

That's pretty cool.
To think WMU has a chance at the 2-seed...even only a 5% chance...is pretty wild. That team has really put it together these past couple weeks. Hoping for an old-school atmosphere at University Arena tonight!

Ohio beats Miami 69-55
UB beats BG 80-68
WMU beats CMU 88-80
BSU beats NIU 87-82
Toledo beats EMU 60-56
Akron Ohio and UB have clinched the top 3. (In that order). The last bye goes to WMU or BSU depending on the outcome of Kent Akron. (Kent would be 5 or 6)

Well heck.. Kent State might be one of the better #6 seeds in recent memory and Central Michigan might be the best #11 seed ever. Going to be a tough path for UB if they want to 3-peat.. Most likely it will be Kent, Ohio, Akron if they want to do it.

Toledo is 5-3 against its side... the 2 and 3 both fell to UT this season. I don't mind being in a East filled bracket. WMU and BSU scare me more than anyone else.

I would give Akron and Buffalo the edge in the tournament. They are the best two teams. Saul Phillips did a great job getting Ohio the 2 seed, but the lack of depth will be a real challange especially in the front court.

I never underestimate Ohio's ability to step up against us in big games.
UB has a rough draw though. We get the winner of Kent / CMU. Kent's been playing well and just beat us at home, CMU's been struggling but when you can drop 90+ points you're always a threat.
Then, likely Ohio, who is always a worry.
Then, presumably, Akron. Who is a good team that would love revenge for last season.
