I agree and thank you. UH and UCF both won their BCS/NY6 bowls. I personally exempt Boise from the G4 moniker, and without them, no one in the G4 has ever won a BCS/NY6 bowl.

Boise is one team that probably deserves to be a p6. Too far west though.

Yeah, that's why I omit them (and SDSU too) from the G4. They were invited and accepted into the P6, it was just too much logistically.

They probably look back on that decision with regret, like Tulane leaving what became the SEC, now that we're P6.

Do you exempt Air Force and Army too? Both invited into the P6 multiple times. The "P5" has recognized Army. What about BYU who was publicly invited by Aresco? Also UNLV and Fresno were rumored to have been invited by Aresco in an around Christmas 2012-January 2013. That has been debated on here, it's uncertain. But not BYU, Air Force and Army!
Cheers!

Not really. The big west was turrable for basketball and bsu has been improving their hoops. Big east needed to bring 4 mwc teams or 3 and byu for it ever to have made sense.

Definitely not. The Big West would have been horrible for the rest of our sports. Considering the AAC's TV contract is equally as bad as the MW's, and the conference is only marginally better (top to bottom), it was not worth sacrificing the rest of our sports.
I would have enjoyed road trips to Memphis and New Orleans though.

I would support a conference that looks like this:
West: SDSU, UNLV, Boise State, BYU, Fresno State, Colorado State
East: Houston, SMU, Memphis, New Mexico, Tulsa, UTEP
Still regional, good programs, good in football and basketball, and not a ridiculous travel burden.

AAC
we schedule 2 for 1's with all G4 teams except:
Boise, BYU, Army, SDSU
These four are worthy of 1 for 1

I'd add Air Force, Southern Miss, and Marshall to our G4 exception.

Did you trick them with the contract? Hey you're playing that big D-1 team from Atlanta! Cool we are playing Ga Tech!
