MyBB Hurts or helps
It's a given that UConn will tie their own record for consecutive victories. Currently they are up 64 over #20 USF with 6 minutes to go.

Does it help the AAC by having the best team in the nation in the conference?

Or does it hurt that no other team in conference is even on the same planet with them?

RE: Hurts or helps
I think it helps because of publicity it brings to conference. Just not fun when you play them.

Agree. Having the best team definitely helps the conference.

There is no other team in the country in their league period

Never been a men's team this dominant in margin of victory at least in modern era, if ever.

The only thing close to it was John Wooden's UCLA teams, and I doubt they were this dominant in terms of scoring margin. Plus, their streak was only 88 games, UCONN has not only passed that mark, (twice now)but are set to obliterate it

Most years, UCLA's second team would have been in F4. Swen Nater is a prime example. Very good ABA/NBA career.

Help, I guess just because you really get to step up in competition.

There is still such little parity in women's bball.

USF was the #20 team in the country an lost 120-37.

Swen Nater could BALL and played behind some Dude named Walton and before Walton there was a Dude named Lew Alcindor. Johnny could recruit, but a guy named CAL is now the best recruiter in the history of the NCAA. However, I think Johnny was a better coach than CAL. Some Dude named Knight was a pretty fair coach with a lot less talent than Johnny or CAL

Wooden is the greatest coach in CBB history-some current HOF coaches have used his total system to model their program after. Denny Crum did very well with it. Dana ran the old UCLA sets while at Memphis.

They were NOT the most talented team in some of those great years. His pyramid for success is a staple. All the major schools had big checkbooks; USC used theirs for football only as did Bama.

I've often wondered why Geno's name never comes up when coaching searches originate. At any level, men or women.

Back in the day when freshmen weren't eligible, Bill Walton's freshmen team beat the varsity in their preseason game. The varsity went on to win the national championship.
