AAC will never be a P5(or 6) conference. Almost every school is a 2nd/3rd or worse school in its state.

We don't all have the 'luxury' of playing in a backwater state like Idaho. You would also be the 2nd or 3rd worst school in the states we live in as well.

It is watching potatoes grow or watching Boise State football. That is their competition and still can't beat teams in a p6 league with attendance.

How many blue chip recruits are in Georgia vs Colorado and Idaho. It's really simple.

Next year we warm up with Louisiana Marilyn Monroe then have UCLA at home.

Easy cheese regional g4s for practice.

Shere, Houston doesn't have to leave the metro to get 100% of its recruits. Your going to play a H&H with a G5, might as well be a bigger name and not a newbie football program. Too much to lose. No 5 star recruits will be stolen from Georgia or GT by playing this game.

No idea why we signed that deal. Stupid. Our fans have zero interest in that. It's far away and is a high expense road game. There's zero local interest---not like GS has any fan base in Houston. There's no recruiting upsiside. I have no idea what was going through Hunters mind when he signed that deal. It was totally out of left field.

No offense to their program, I just think it makes waaay more sense to play regional schools that have some local alumni base or are in our recruiting territory. Lower travel expenses, higher home ticket sales, and it helps recruiting.

Wow! What a delusional thread. YOU CANNOT AFFORD OUR ONE-OFF FEE. Auburn and Alabama are paying us $1.75 million for one-offs. Why? Because they have 90+k-seat stadium they can fill to generate the money to pay those fees.

WHO in the AAC can afford that?? NO ONE.

And NOBODY in the AAC, except maybe Houston, generates enough excitement in H'burg to help us sellout our home games. NOBODY.

Big Houston over look Georgia Southern an treat them as warmup game.

As far a playing regional schools in 2020 Rice and Kansas are on your schedule besides along with GS. 2021 Rice , Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, along with GS. That is probably as good as it can get in any year OCC in regards to playing regional schools. One reason that GS could have been scheduled could be as a tune up for Navy. Navy did put 46 on the board this past year, might need the extra work stopping there style of offense.

They trying to keep us down brother, so we fighting. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Beating them in NY bowls... Beating them OOC, increasing our facilities and viewership significantly...

The best thing about being the AAC is that we get confused a lot with the ACC.
