Big, thick kid, looks like he could play early. How long has it been since we've landed a freshman lineman with 11 offers, including 2 from P5?
If you get offered by Harvard, you go there, right?
You'd think, unless he has his heart set on playing higher level football.
Ivy League football is also non-scholarship. That can be a factor for some students.
But they do tend to have some of the best financial aid programs (billion $$$ endowments), so I'm sure cost of attendance would be pretty low.
Or if he wants to stay close to home or really likes Creighton or...
We NEVER know why a recruit makes the decision he does.
I once asked someone in the business about this issue. I asked things like maybe a girl friend. The answer I got is that they can't directly ask the question but hope to get clues.
Some recruits are very close to their families. Some have long term relationships with a girl friend. Others do not.
These are important factors for many recruits to evaluate. If a kid from L.A. has a long term relationship with a girl friend why come to UofM when he can stay in California??? (maybe likes snow and cold??? Lol).
BTW, might mention our friend, T.J. Lang. Definitely a S.E. Michigan guy. Went to school at EMU, played at GB, but opted to come back to Detroit where he loves it.
Quick pivot: Koback is going to Toledo from Kentucky because of a family situation. I'm sure he had no interest in Harvard or any other Ivy.

Watkins film looks really good, would contribute right away.
We need more size at the WR position, not another sub-6' guy.

Bullough is now at MSU, not sure if he was the primary recruiter for any of the final guys or not.

First of all MSU has signed most of its recruits for this class and the ones they are interested in are not the same as MSU. Yes I would agree it may impact signing someone.
If we're looking for a defensive line coach let me throw out a name

EMU should get a young, go-getter type in my view rather a guy at the very end of a long career.

I don't think he made an official visit we may have found other players we prefer
I think he made an official visit but... (like they say, "But what...?"). Looks like a November visit as a possible mid-year but... (I don't think he's signed with anyone).

Maybe clearinghouse issues? Just a guess.

We are all over Michael Thompson of Modesto C.C.
Has he visited? Looks like CC is trying to wrap up the deal.

Watched some of the HUDL.
Nice video. Wish his QB had a much stronger arm. I watched Glass' JUCO video and Thompson's QB's video. Big difference in the quarterbacking. Thompson might have looked really good with Glass throwing to him.
Anyone who hasn't watched Glass' video I'd recommend. He has two his soph year in JUCO. He can really throw and a very nifty runner. Exciting prospect.

Big boy....6'3,315. 7.5 sacks from DL spot. Film Ok, good hands, Neathery loves to rotate the DT's. Should be able to plug him into the 2 deep right away.
Welcome Daeqwan!
