Any possibility this is Dallas and we will all wake up Wednesday morning and realize we all had the same bad dream? And its Joe Biden vs. Scott Walker (or Jeb or Ted or anybody but Donald).

Oh please.
If it was Joe Biden or anyone else, you all would've made up some other fantastical story about him/her as you did with Hillary.
You all would be pining on here about how it would be the most corrupt person in the history of the world.

You conveniently left that part out.
LS #53,
Except that you are a taker. By default. And you've been taking your whole life.
Your income comes from the fact that we have a society which supports the business that employs you. (shift all that to past tense, if you're retired now) You owe everything to that.
And because of your definition (and it's only your definition, everyone notices) of how I earn my keep, I should support a larger government? You are not only a liberal, you must have been born on Mars or something......
My guess is that you are feeding at the teat of some government agency, wholly dependent on the American public for your job. I am a lineman for the county
No wonder you are running scared away from those of us more liberty minded. You have no back-up plan!

No, you don't need to support a government larger than the one we have now.
The one we have now is correct sized.
You're referring to some tiny government that doesn't exist, hasn't existed in any developed country, and will never exist.

No, it's not.
As but a small example, any government that used the IRS to abuse political opponents, used a gun buying scheme to discredit legal gun ownership and got hundreds of dead Mexicans and a couple of Border Patrol agents in the process, forced nuns to buy contraception, and compelled Americans to buy health insurance whether they wanted/needed it or not - is too big.

LS,
None of those examples prove anything other than you have an arbitrary and unsupported preference for a type of government that doesn't exist in the developed world.
I invite you to move your family to Somalia. Don't forget to remind them and yourself that it's "better", daily.

If I still lived in Virginia I would have voted for Johnson, but I'm going to hold my nose and vote for Trump here in Ohio (could be a tight race). Yeah, he's a loon, but I really think having Trump in the Oval Office could usher in an era of bolstered legislative power, with reduced executive power, and that is something the United States needs ASAP.
Plus, the open Supreme Court slot is extremely important, and Hillary's going to nominate someone wayyyy to the left.

Is that your final answer?
Kentucky's 8 electoral votes will be aboard the Trump train, so I am voting for Evan McMullin. His views most closely line up with mine, and he may even sneak into the Top 3 in the Electoral College since Utah has one more elector than Gary Johnson's native New Mexico.

No it's not.
First off explain why we need a US Forest Service, a National Park Service, and a Bureau of Land Management that all essentially do the same job.
Why do agencies like the National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Standards and Testing, and Veterans Affairs have law enforcement divisions? Those are just off the top of my head and I know there are more, like all the agencies who have their own separate law enforcement divisions that are nothing more than glorified security guards for facilities.
Why does the Dept of Health and Human Services have both a Public Health divisions and an Indian Health division? Are Indians not part of the public?

Voted for Clinton after voting for Sanders in the primary. If it was Clinton vs McCain or Clinton vs Romney, I would have voted Republican. But Trump is just a terrible choice and I could care less about the damn emails. Guess what, jaywalking, speeding, marijuana in many states, etc., are also crimes. I suspect every single person here who complains about Clinton being crooked has done many illegal things themselves. The only difference is they probably weren't making money off their crimes (and Trump has made a lot more money off his crimes than Clinton anyway).

Barack is not a thief. He's not amoral. And I don't think he would really condone his people disrupting opposition rallies. I also think he really wants to do good even if he finds it hard to see beyond his own narcissism. He also is not chronically incompetent. He has Jimmy Carter style idealism that doesn't work in the international world but his judgement is limited by that and is merely bad, not terrible.
Also, I don't think Hillary listens much to Bill, who does at least have common sense and understands people who don't live inside the Beltway.
Barack and Michelle hate America, but Hillary hates Americans who can't do anything to benefit her.

In Ohio also. Did not vote for Trump in the primary but voted for him.
Thought about Gary Johnson but can't waste the vote. Did that with Perot and put WJC in office.
Could never vote for HRC. No compassionate person, much less a woman and a mother, could ever support killing an infant moments before birth for any reason. (The life of the mother is total BS as a viable infant in a situation where mom's health is in danger can be taken by c-section.) Any person who can say this is ok has no heart and no soul. She is the most corrupt America political person in my lifetime.
I don't feel good about tomorrow but I do know there are closet trump voters out there. My neighborhood is full of them — but the don't fit the Trumster profile as they are Suburban, professional, private schooling catholic. A majority of usually have candidate signs in their yards showing support only three out of 74 homes have signs this year. Did they all decide to not vote? Nope. They are choosing to not advertise their vote.
Beers are ready either way to celebrate or console.

Way to use false equivalencies to do some great mental gymnastics.

I'll say this about Hillary claiming she was named after Sir Edmund Hillary. There is probably a decent chance she wasn't, but her mom may have told her she was as she was growing up and he was gaining fame for claiming Mt. Everest.
As an example, my middle name is Leigh (spelled like Vivian Leigh). I swore that my mom told me when I was growing up that Gone With The Wind was her favorite film and she named me that because she liked the movie. A few years ago, I mentioned that to her and she said I never said that. And she doesn't even really like that movie. I still remember the original conversation but I just think time distorts truths and memories sometime, especially in trivial memories.
My twin brother's middle name is Bradley and we've also been told we were named after Generals (Bradley and Leigh, but they spelled mine different). But that too has been debunked. So I'm sticking with my Vivian Leigh story. That might disqualify me as a presidential candidate but I could care less.
