You just need someone good. Someone that can recruit.
DEAR FRIENDS,
THERE IS AN OMNIPOTENT TROLL NAMED "p23570" WHO IS ATTACKING THE BOARD IN WAYS I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE.
THIS GUY MAKES BIG EAST HOMER LOOK LIKE THE POPE.
I AM ASKING YOU ALL TO PUT ASIDE YOUR DIFFERENCES, SAVE YOUR BATTLES FOR A LATER DAY, AND COME TOGETHER.
IMAGINE A SMART VERSION OF BIG EAST HOMER WHO ACTUALLY KNOWS A LITTLE ABOUT FOOTBALL, AND PERHAPS MORE VICIOUS.
HE MAY NOT HAVE A THOUSAND USERNAMES LIKE BEH (Tigersmoke, Phil Lacio etc etc etc) BUT HE IS MUCH MORE DANGEROUS.
WE NEED TO STICK TOGETHER. SIMPLE. WE SHALL CODE NAME p23570 the following: C3-PO. WE SHALL MAKE A MOCKERY OF THIS TROLL.
IF ANYONE SEES p23570 (AKA C3-PO) REPORT HIM AND REFER TO HIM AS THIS CODE NAME.
THANK YOU ALL.
It's nice to have 3 schools. Not all 3 took care of biz at Minges though, and UCF won by the hair on their nutz.
Cheers!
Minges isn't always an easy place to play.
Anyone can stub their toe. Nevertheless, Dunphy, Dawkins, and Sampson all have tournament histories.
The point of this thread is that going on 20 years, Lebo has never been once.
In this video he is asked straight out, "ARE YOU ON THE HOTSEAT?" and the man doesn't look like he has a care in the world... any urgency whatsoever to turn ECU around.
"I'VE GOT A LONG TERM CONTRACT... NOT WORRIED..." (lol) ECU basketball is his retirement fund.
He says he has good kids that go to class.
He says they just need to figure out how to win more! LOL
Pirates are gonna knock off Houston in the season finale. Beat Temple in the first round of the AAC tournament, and win the next game vs SMU. In the semifinals I hope we get UCF. In the finals I want 7 seed Uconn for all the marbles. Lebo's first and only NCAA tournament as he's fired and retired right after.

I can't reveal the year because that would upset the time-space continuum.
I just came back from the past. This really happened, no matter what the RPI, SOS and 123 metrics say. Some haven't accepted it, but it really happened. 1 picture is worth 1 win.
I can't reveal the year because that would upset the RPI/SOS-excuse continuum.
I think Temple is doable...SMU is a tall order....if it were any of the other schools Id think we could....SMU just embarassed us last time we played them.....I think we will beat Houston too. This team is more talented than they have produced... if Caleb white that showed up in Greenville shows up for this tourny and we find a stroke outside the arc ...we won't be a pushover.

^ That right there is Lebo's 7+ year run at ECU in a nutshell.
I don't see ECU competing against Houston.
Against Temple, I see them running out of steam.
Unless you're a 5 win Tulane team, ECU is "dead money" on the road.

I'll take my payment out of ECU's tourney crediiii.... OH WAIT

Tom Penders was fired immediately after leading us to our first NCAA tournament in over a decade. Then, James Dickey was fired after leading us to wins over UConn and SMU (both ranked that season).
Both of those UH coaches were not getting it done.
ECU's current staff beat a poor UConn team at the end of season 7 and some fans all of a sudden think they have something there.
You are delusional...plus these wins aren't on Lebo anyway.

Lebo is a good man and a decent floor coach. He does though fail miserably as a recruiter..and has everywhere he has been. He simply can not recruit guys that can shoot the damn ball consistently and are horrible at the foul line. Honest question? Does any ECU fan believe Lebo can win a AAC championship? It is time to move on.

I think he's recruited OK talent, his problem is he can't develop the players that we have. They always regress! Tyson, Barkely and White have all regressed since their freshman year. I don't think Hughes, Wilkens or Sheppard (who have all showed promise) are going to be any different. That's my biggest reason to let him go.

It looks like Joe Dooley may be coming back to North Carolina.
