All of that talent is wasted IMO. It means nothing. ....and TT still carved LaTech up while a bad UTSA team nearly beat ASU.
LaTech has a good offense but so do we. The matchup will be good. There is no superiority to be had in a 14 (really a 21) point loss to a potential 7-8 win P5 team. He's a good QB. News flash we have a 4,000+ yard passer too with a 1,300 + yard WR. Both were Freshman All Americans last year. It will be a great game. Can't wait.
Who do you think gets drafted highest, Mahomes or Stockstill?
Because the NFL draft is the ultimate litmus test of how good a QB is? Do you need me to list the first round busts or mid round hall of famers? Further, what about guys who were absolute studs in college, but their game just didn't translate to the pros?
Coming from a guy who makes asinine comments with regularity, this one ranks pretty high on your list. I don't even need you to tell me their stats, awards, etc.
Mahomes is a 6'3 230lb P5 QB
Stockstill is a 6'0 206lb G5 QB
There's about a 10% chance Stockstill gets drafted higher, but where they are ultimately drafted has very little to do with how good of a college QB they are and pretty much nothing to do with who has a better game against La Tech...

I honestly believe this conference has underestimated the young talent that Skip Holtz has brought in. Oh sure, Tony Franklin's gimmick offense (and that's what it is. I called it that when he was our OC too) will keep it interesting for a while, but in the end I believe Tech's talent takes over.

That's laughable.

That was the point. What a great game! About as close as expected ... Actually, exactly as expected -- 4 point line at kickoff

The 1st 3 quarters were great. They went exactly how I anticipated the whole game would go. But MTSU was gritty, and fought back.
Meanwhile, Tech went to bed early and laid down a big ole turd in the 4th. Damn good game though. And the MTSU fans I met were very nice. Congratulations to MTSU on the win!
Depending on how things pan out, we just might see you guys again later this year.

I saw where Trent Taylor was born in Cookeville, TN (but played at Evangel). I believe he was recruited to Tech by none other than Tony Franklin. What a tough-nosed gritty player he is. I'm a big fan of his now.
