We've beat Bridgewater, we've beat Redmen, I understand Jackson and this bunch are a different Louisville team, a team that seems to be top to bottom one of the most talented the Cards have ever had. But, don't expect any Marshall fan or player to just roll over and accept a L. We know it's going to be an uphill battle, would be one of the biggest wins in school history, but it's in our house and we have a pretty good history of finding ways to win at home. Win or lose we won't get beat by 56 points, that's for sure.
Yeah, yeah.....we know. Marshall is one of the greatest programs ever.....blah, blah, blah
Yeah because that's what my post said.
When your team's biggest win is Georgia State you have to be a straw man when talking smack.

I can't wait for the Louisville game, it's gonna be a great atmosphere in the Joan. Hopefully we set a new attendance record.
Yeah, well atleast we didn't wait decades before deciding to play big-boy football.
Yeah, Marshall will never beat a co-Big East champion Louisville with a star future NFL quarterback... well except the last time we played them.... oh, and the time before that... oh, and the bowl game before that.

We must forgive the charlotte fan. Winning a division 1 FBS game is a foreign concept to them.

Yeah...just like String Theory...it goes like this:
Charlotte String Theory:
"In the first half, we will go against their first string...and they will score lots of points.. In the third quarter, we will see their second string...they will score fewer points and we will feel as though we have accomplished something. We will see their third string in the fourth quarter and their backup right guard will play qb...and we will shut them out in this quarter so therefore.... The game was a success and a victory!"
"Now we shall go forth and put down better teams because of our massive feats.!"

UofL doesn't travel that well. About the same as WKU surprisingly. I think UofL will have same or less amount of fans than WKU will at Marshall this year. It's not a super-close drive. About 5 hours from Louisville to Huntington.
Regardless, I hope you all sell out and beat the **** out of the cards.

Yeah, don't know where you get 5 hours. From the 17th street bridge in Huntingon to the Kennedy Bridge in Louisville is exactly 200 miles and it's interstate the whole way, 70mph the whole way. You can make it in 2:45 if you hustle. I've driven it probably 300 times.
I was just confused as to what the WKU fan was implying. WKU didn't bring 250 fans to Huntington. I have no doubt that Louisville will bring more than that lol.

OK, if you say so. But lets put a little bet on that 250 and I will take the over...
you buy 4 tickets to Western's home game vs Houston Baptist if you lose and I will do the same for a Marshall game. Loser donates the 4 tickets to the Boys and Girls Club...
or your choice if you win
I'm sure I can round up 8 to 10 pictures of the Western crowd that we can get a good enough count to see 350-400.
Lets not forget Western was 6-6 and this was the day after Thanksgiving. Not only that but after a major snow storm just went through this area 2 days before and calling for snow that day...cold windy day
Which probably was the reason Marshall had a listed attendance of 23k for a undefeated top 20 team playing their last regular season home game.

And a 11am kickoff on a Friday the day after Thanksgiving and a 5 hour drive

It'll be hard to tell, really. I had end zone corner seats for the sell out against Purdue last season and had plenty of space to myself with folks seated comfortably on each side of me.

OK. We will be nice and say you had 500 there (which I seriously doubt.) Even at that, no doubt Louisville will bring more than 500 fans to Huntington.
I never said you guys sucked for only bringing "500" fans to Huntington. The WKU poster said Louisville would not bring any more fans than WKU did.....THAT WAS THE POINT OF MY POST.....Louisville will bring a LOT more than WKU did.
Sorry, let me clarify. WKU will bring about 4K this year, due to it likely being for the east division crown, and WKU really does travel well. We didn't do so hot last time we played in Huntington, but as mentioned above, the kickoff date and time was crap.
