Yeah, but that was a playoff D1AA team, right? Wyoming, even if improved coming off 1-11 and getting fist-pumped by EMU, is Highly Likely not on that level this year.

Of course, it was away and CMU's was at home, but still. Sure, technically Wyoming may end up going 8-4... but I'm guessing they'll be a 4-8, maybe 5-7 team.

Non-conference wins are nice and help the reputation and status of a program, however, they are not part of the conference championship equation.

A MAC Championship is more important than ANY non-conference win or loss.

I know a lot depends on who the opponents were, but isn't it strange seeing Akron with the only win in the East and NIU the only loss in the West?
