No, not Georgia Tech

Well, Georgia Tech isn't too far from Georgia State, at least.

Both are in the heart of the City.

While I've driven by GSU, I've never been on its campus.

I suppose any FBS home and home is good, although I doubt if the average fan really has any idea GSU is FBS.

Playing intersectional games such as this may help recruiting some ('Hey, we're going to play in Atlanta!') but won't put any fannies in the seats at Waldo - GSU isn't going to travel well this far above the Mason-Dixon line and our fans won't care much unless it's CommUniverCity Night.

But as bad as their program is, it should be a couple 'W's' for us at least.

Georgia State is a fast growing program, they are building a new stadium in the city and used to be a formidable opponent on the I-AA level. I like this move. Better than playing OSU.

Well, last year they beat Georgia Southern in Statesboro and Ball St. in Muncie. 6-6 in the regular season and a bowl loss to San Jose St. Play their home games in the Georgia Dome. Not that shabby.

Don't know who you're thinking of, CC, but Georgia State has only had Football for six years, won 17 games total.

Yes that win at Georgia Southern was a surprise. Beating Testicle Tech not so much.

They were better in Miles' third season last year but are considered a bottom-tier Sun Belt team whereas we should be one of the MAC's best for foreseeable future.

They averaged 11,500 at home games in '15. That's got to look pretty small in an NFL stadium like Georgia Dome.

Sorry, must have had my programs confused. Still a good signing. I know a few Broncos in the Atlanta area who will be excited to see the team.

The average fan didnt even know there WAS a Georgia State Univ.

Until we solidify ourselves to NIU's level like before and during Lynch days, we shouldn't be setting ourselves up with OOC matchups away+home with BCS conference teams, nor expecting it.

Going against quality G5s, which Georgia State is turning into -- is a good thing.
