McCarty was pulled at 68 pitches. Might need him at another point this weekend. Brought in one of our relievers that has seen very little play this year. No pressure situation. Good time to get the freshman some experience.

Yeah, could definitely pitch Sunday or Monday if he has to.

You're right! We went out there in 2008. We hosted Fullerton one weekend then Rice the next weekend. Sometimes I get things backwards haha!

You really could not have scripted this better for us. McCarty was unusually efficient, even for his good outings. He's normally around 90-100 pitches by the six inning mark. Throw on top of that the offensive explosion. He only throws 67 and we can easily bring him back later in the regional for a fairly long outing.

Ive watched him almost all his life. He ususally struggles at first but not today. Most in command from the get go ive seen.

That more or less describes their season. This is a team that started 15-0 in Sun Belt play and went 4-8 down the stretch.

That said, we knocked around a really good pitcher.

Oddly, the fact that they got one run really annoys me.

I really think the foot is already through the throat.

Also, these are essentially our midweek guys and you can see how we lost those games.

The LSU game, which will be played before ours, has been delayed..

Bases loaded for the Owls.. can FAU do something with this and 2 outs??

Eagles ended up winning 14-2. Glad to see the reserves get some action in the last few innings.
