That is our bov meeting and supposed to get the populous report on stadium. I imagine based on that meeting we should know something very soon after.

Well I know some on here are going to throw a fit and call me a jerk BUT

I would venture to say that Charlotte, ODU, and FIU could use some help. They all need to upgrade infrastructure. Might be more in the conference, but these are the ones that stand out more to me.

They are talking about video production by the schools but use this moment to **** on anyone in the conference not named Marshall.

I hate espn3. I hate watching live sports streams. I'm old. I like watching on a big nice TV.

I hate this deal. It's like a Sun Belt or MAC deal. It's bush league.

If this is the new reality of C-USA then everyone in the conference office needs to be fired, starting with the commissioner.

Rice, UTEP, UTSA, and LA Tech fans,... how do you feel about this media deal?

Looks like our 5 ESPN games will all be non-conference games against P5 teams. That sucks. I thought the 5 games would be actual CUSA games. The p5 games would be on anyway.

Feel free to head back to the MAC and have fun playing in front of 3K in Toledo on a Tuesday night.

Honestly, how can your athletic departments operate on that big of a cut? Have the payments from previous members been fulfilled? Hat eto hear this happened, hoping for the best for you guys.

I guess we'll find out. Increase fundraising, ticket prices, sponsorships, get more fans in the games etc? It will happen to the AAC next time they renegotiate too. Maybe not to this extent, but I'd be planning for the next AAC contract to be nearly half of what it is too. Its life as a G5 team these days.

Que the AAC trolls, glad CUSA teams beat their asses in the bowl games. What were they 2-6 or was it worse

I asked a simple question dickwad. No reason to go on the defensive.

Buy a ROKU Apple TV Amazon TV fire stick or chrome cast and there you have it ESPN3 on your tv.

Sorry, but I don't think ODU's stadium would provide the most up to date amenities for TV personnel. They do have a great atmosphere though. That's important to me personally.

Charlotte, I'll be honest was a guess. I figured with a smaller stadium that was originally built with FCS mind set could use some upgrades to get up to par. I could be completely wrong.

FIU- Come on man. I remember seeing our coaches sitting outside underneath tarps. These are the coaches who are supposed to be up in the box. I also saw cameras under similar tarps.

BTW. I named 3 schools. That leaves 10 other schools not named Marshall that I didn't mention.

Just get a Roku or similar device. You won't even know its being streamed and you can switch to it with a remote control.

Using your logic, ESPN would not schedule any FIU home games .... except they do have the IU at FIU game for ESPNU. So what gives?

And you are. Charlotte's stadium is almost brand new, was done top notch from the start, with expansion to FBS in mind. That should have been enough, but your irrational hatred of Charlotte is well known.

On top of already being a great facility, the school also worked with the local Fox, now CW, affiliate to air HD broadcasts of the first two seasons. There were some growing pains, but a lot was learned. It shouldn't take much to get up to ESPN3 speed.

Here is an old promo from WCCB for our 2nd ever football game in our inaugural FCS season.

And here are highlights from our first ever football game, also on WCCB: https://youtu.be/hpRmHFq2B_E

The coverage is an upgrade over what we've had even if the money isn't. Don't worry Belt and MAC fans, you're turn to be bent over is coming. We were the first G5 to go through this new era. Cable views are dropping and the TV money isn't there like it was. It is what it is but the coverage is better now.

I don't want to buy that junk. I want C-USA to play games on TV like real conferences do. This is garbage.

I refuse to buy into the logic that all the other G5s will have their turn getting stiffed too. I could care less about their deals. Our 5 guaranteed espn games are all against P5 teams. Those games would have aired on TV anyway. University presidents need to be meeting about this terrible deal.

The commissioner [Image: 10321593.jpeg] should be fired!

I'm not going to derail another thread over this. Sorry, for mentioning my opinion on that.

Back on topic....

How long is the deal with BeIn? Interesting that we signed the longest deal with them. I kind of like that we have went outside of the box with this.

It is worse but at least you have more Saturday games.
Saturday = College football.
Sunday = NFL.
Friday = High school football.
Tues, Wednesday, Thursday = Everybody loves Raymond reruns and MACtion and ACC games.
Cheers!

That's the truest statement that I've seen on this board.

Every G5 will feel this eventually I guarantee it. We are only as valuable as what someone is willing to pay. Fox bailed and ESPN is restructuring every deal going forward. They are bleeding money right now. From this point on, it's a buyer's market.

On a coverage level, how good was our package in 2014 and 2015? ASN handled the bulk of the broadcasts. We had like 2 games on FS1 and 2 others on the other Fox networks that I had to pay extra money to see. The digital coverage was horrible and was worse than the Belt. This new package is an upgrade in terms of coverage and exposure.

We are having 37 games on TV with an option for ASN to pick up a few more. Sheesh, how many Belt games were on TV when we were there? Answer = Not that many.
