Im going to guess this is a direct advantage of having USAT's parent company owning the CA now.
CA posts an update, and then USA Today puts up a post shortly after.

Calkins seemed to backpedal from his earlier tweet. On GP's show he put the odds of an invite as somewhere from "a longshot" to "an outside chance".
