If we set the over/under at 15, which way to you think they go? I'm taking the under with them coming in at 14. What do you think?

AGGIE, I'm not only going out on the limb, I'm going to climb to the edge and say they may be in the TOP 10. So count me in the column of UNDER.

Houston will lose 3 games this year and end up unranked. They may actually drop 4 if Navy can get their offense rolling.

02-13-bananaUPDATED 8/1/16
Quick reference 104 out of 128 teams selected. NOW we start the top 25

Back on track..........We will now have the TOP 25 selections that remain from Matt Murschel as we head into the last 25 days of the countdown. As it is clear to everyone, Houston is the last team standing among the G5 schools. Congratulations to them and good luck.

As it is every season it will be very interesting to see how this all plays out. Just as in years past there will be many events that can change the ability of all of our schools to perform better or worse than any off season prediction. However the most important issue that always comes into play, IMO is the mental attitude and perseverance of each teams leaders to give the team a vision and desire to strive far beyond their capabilities. I wholeheartedly hope CUSA will out perform any and all expectations as a conference and we all kick some G5 and P5 ARSSS out of conference for 2016.

That is not beyond possibility. they have some tough games on the schedule.
I doubt Navy beats them, but losing 2 or 3 is very possible.

AAC needs UH pick to hold up for another 8 to 10 spots so they can get into the 60+ range.

Houston doesn't historically do well travelling that far east.

Houston has to be ranked 7 or higher to get the AAC under a 70 average.

Yep, and 8th would be 70 on the nose. Don't see it happening.

Well I think Houston will beat OU and go undefeated. OU will beat Ohio State and go undefeated the rest of the way. UH goes to the playoff and beats Michigan on the semifinal and Alabama in the championship game:)

Personally, I think that would be pretty cool and I would be cheering for you under that scenario. With that said, you guys had a great year last year, but a lot of things set up in your favor. You only played one Sagarin top 30 team and that wasn't until your bowl, you had an unrepeatable + turnover margin, and you caught breaks in winning several close games.

The win over FSU was a great win for the program, but honestly, those teams always seem to come out flat against a G5 opponent even given the magnitude of the bowl. The players feel slighted, I believe, to be playing a G5 instead of being in the playoff. I believe that's why the G5 has such an outstanding record in those games and the BCS games they made. I know we like to believe that it's because the talent difference isn't all that great, but I believe it's because it's hard for a coach to get a team that was just a few plays away from being in the playoff up for what they view as a consolation prize. Conversely, for the G5 team, it's the biggest game those players will ever participate in. And yes, I would feel the same way if it was Marshall that would have won that game. If you played FSU 12 straight weeks, 3-9 would be about the best you could hope for.

You are probably right.

Houston leads the all-time series 13-2-2 vs FSU. I know it does not change your point, but I thought was a cool fact.

Just goes to show that timing is everything. Wonder how that record would look if you had kept playing them once Bowden was there a few years?
