First, I just want to point out that I correctly said several weeks ago that AState's men would miss the league tournament. (Called it after we lost to Troy) Perhaps, it's one of those things I shouldn't be right at.

Second, despite FormerUTASportscaster's frantic attempts to not jinx his own team, a Troy team with nothing to play for lost to Arlington by 40. ULL beat Georgia Southern by 11 to finish the night.

GS becomes the 4 seed IF They win AND Texas State beats South Alabama AND Arkansas State beats App State: (In such scenario the tiebreak comes down to records vs combined 3 way tie between Texas State, South Alabama, and Arkansas State. Each team would have finished 3-3 vs those teams. THEN the tiebreak comes to just Texas State alone. Both teams finished 1-1. THEN The tiebreak comes down to combined record vs Arkansas State/South Alabama Both teams finished 2-2, THEN the tiebreak comes down to record vs Arkansas State alone, and Georgia Southern wins the tiebreak based on AState beating the Cajuns a very long time ago.

Understand? Good, explain it to me.

For the record, had that crazy scenario happened, it wouldn't have broken down quite that way.

Ties MUST be broken top to bottom. And, Arkansas State wouldn't have been in the mix because only the teams qualifying for the tournament can be used.

It would have come down to a coin flip for 4/5.

I thought the only scenario in which I used AState was one in which we qualified for the tournament, and we would have done that by beating App. The minute we lost, South Alabama made the tournament, which pretty much locked you guys into the 4 seed.

No, but I had to google it when I first heard the commercial and saw UNO.

Yeah, I don't know of another Lakefront Arena. I'd just have to imagine that the process of enticing folks to come from Atlanta to see the SBC tourney could do without the effort of googling up where it's actually held. (I'm sure there's some sort of Sun Belt hashtag for my opinion on this.)

Also, thanks for the confirmation, bullitt. I think that a couple of weeks ago was the first time I had heard it; odd that it would have such a consistent run on the station!
