Rockets vs Great Danes of Albany
End of third quarter, Rockets trail 46-29. 20 turnovers for Toledo, being out rebounded by a wide margin, lots of team chemistry yet to be developed

Turnovers were a huge problem vs ND

Jim Heller became Jim Heckler for a portion of the broadcast when commentating on the officiating.

63-55 final as the Rockets hit four three pointers in the closing couple of minutes. UT trailed by 21 points in the third quarter in large part to going scoreless in the first seven minutes of the second quarter.

Clearly this game was not as close as the final score indicates. The Rockets have some major work to do on the offensive end. This is an experienced team, but so far not a very good one.

Albany all but ran away with this one. Rockets wound up with 22 turnovers! Took just nine free throws. Tate put up 33 points. Defense was lacking while intensity was hit and miss for Toledo. Rockets on a steep learning curve. Harvard will not be a walk in the park. Albany's 2 - 3 zone caused the Rockets problems.

been a long time since I've been to a women's game - but have they always played quarters vs. 2 halfs? I know I wasn't drunk at the games I went to, but I sure don't remember their being quarters to a game...

The quarter change was implemented just this season.

I can't believe that I--of all people--will try to put those losses into proper perspective. Albany was in the women's NCAA last season, and picked to win their conference again. Loyola has 8 guys back from a 20+ win team. Both Rocket teams are fairly young. Let's see where they both are at the end of this season (although I strongly suspect the men will be in better shape than the ladies). Hang in there!

I didn't realize that Albany was that good, so that makes me feel better. The Lady Rockets are not really that young, though. They have two fifth-year seniors, two juniors, and a sophomore starting. The bench is pretty young, but the starters have a lot of experience. I hope we play somebody we can beat soon.

I'm guessing it's been awhile since a Lady Rocket bball team started 0-3. You're right about the starters, of course--but I think we start a couple who wouldn't start at many other MAC schools. If McIntyre and Printz make quick transitions to this level of play, and our veterans start to play better, I still think this team can finish a couple games over .500 in MAC play.

NO offense. If I'm coaching the opposition I'm quite content with letting Monokana have free run. She can't shoot. Not a J, not a layup, nothing. B is streaky as can be, Ana struggles all the time and Sophie's not good for much more than garbage points off of putbacks, which she does well but there aren't many points to be had that way. Now I only have to focus on Bravo-Harriot and I shut UTdown completely. Woody showed a spark vs Arixona and yhe frosh will get bettrr fast, but we're in trouble for awhile unless we amp the D up much highrr than we did tonight.

That's a great analysis of our offense...
