I agree the mccheese lost was terrible and the worst in USf history.

That said, I will give him a semi pass as they were all Skip's players. Not an excuse, but Skip left cupboard beyond bare.

The talent level is off the charts now compared to then. All we need is a reliable QB. Hoping one of Flowers, Bench, or Woulard is that guy.

The RB position is absolutely stacked behond belief. It wouldn't surprised me to see close to TWO 1,000 yard rushers at USf this year. Everyone knows about Mack, but there is very little dropoff to Tice and Johnson.

We keep hearing good things about Steven Bench in fall camp. It'll probably be Flowers, but Bench may be a better passer.

If Woulard is eligible, he will be starter by game 3. Still awaiting word on waiver.

Flowers passing is a work in progress, but he's an electric runner. Offense more tailored to him.

USF has the talent to get bowl eligible without question......IF QB play improves at all this year. That's the bottom line.

What are Woulard's reasons for the hardship waiver? I looked it up briefly and all I could find were "undisclosed family issues". Does he have a real case for hardship or did he just transfer to see more playing time and was homesick? Would he have transferred if the new incoming qb at UCLA didn't beat him out? He was in a situation looking like he'd never be the starter unless there was an injury.

I don't know the reasons (maybe someone else does), but it usually means there is a sick close relative somewhere in the family. That seems to be the reason 90% of the time. USF would have vetted the waiver request and I doubt would have even submitted without a semi valid reason. And, by the way, USF has been extremely successful in getting these approved, for whatever reason.

USF was one of the best and seemed to use it more than most schools in the past. However, the NCAA instituted new rules/guidelines for hardship waiver applications, making (supposedly), much, much harder to get starting this season. (But with outside pressure to "help" student athletes these days, I wouldn't be surprised if some continue to get approved)

We both know that many longtime UCF fans appreciate that UCF is winning...but really dislike GOL. For the rest of the UCF fanbase ....until he finally established some consistency a few years ago the UCF rivals site was rife with GOL haters.
