And yet you only won, 31-21. Not to mention it was tied going into the 4th quarter...

That's the pirate way. Take a look at every bowl game against SEC schools over the last 10 years. We find a way to blow a game that we should have won easily. The difference between those games and Uconn is that UConn wasn't man enough to take the gift of pirate ineptitude. UF, USC, Cincy, Temple, & UCF all were....

Our inept offense put up the second most points all season against you. And none of the teams you listed were nowhere as bad as UCONN last year.

When will the season start? The same thing happen last year everyone talk crap about ECU in the preseason then they shut up until we lost to Temple. Well guess what Temple and East Carolina are the only two teams carrying the conference in non-conference play. At least we raise are rankings in non-conference in order to be ranked higher and make the conference look better. I hope everyone does well this year in non-conference and wins their games.

Everyone underestimates or hates on ECU. Must be a jealousy thing because I do not hate on any of our conference mates. By the way its football people have their ups and downs doesn't mean they are a bad football team. A win is a win. I can't wait for the Temple and Cinci game to get our revenge.

Also the UCONN fan that said ECU does not look that impressive last year well we did more for the conference then anyone else during non-conference. I am pretty sure you would trade our team for yours so stop acting like ECU is some FCS school when we all know ECU is one of their better G5 programs. We just constantly win and that is what we do however we also constantly lose stupid games. We will go 8-4 or 9-3 again this year I guarantee it.

For the record, I like and respect the ECU program. Great fanbase. Envious of your program.

Every team in AAC neds to pull its own weight OOC. By the same token, every team will sh!t the bed in conference play at least once a year. Witness UCF v UCONN in 2014.

Maybe we need to have a "who will sh!t the bed and when thread" once conference play starts?

I think we can take care of everyone with BYU, Florida, UCF, and Cincinnati being are hardest games.

We lost to Navy when we had no depth at defense and had walk-ons starting at defensive line. Last year UCF game should have been a W but we lost now we have to go play in Orlando which is tough should be a close game. Cincinnati I think we will win, we had that game won to but blew it I think we get revenge in Greenville. Same with Temple I think we destroy them at home. Florida game we beat them in every stat but the scoreboard but lost because Shane threw a pick in endzone at the end of the game. Turnover killed us in that game. But it is going to be tough playing them with their new coach in the Swamp. Virginia Tech I think we win it is at home and that will probably be our big win for the season (I hope they beat Ohio State again and come into Greenville ranked high). BYU is tough because they are a good team and we have to go so far and play at an elevation we are not use too.

Sorry but our offense is MUCH improved this year and our defense is still loaded and at least 2 deep at every position. I know you're still upset about last year and you'll get your revenge eventually it just won't be this year.

I'll be in Greenville for the game so we'll see! Getting the Pirates on a short week after UCF makes me nervous. The Pirates have Tulsa at Dowdy-Ficklen the Saturday before....

LOL

This is why I described ECU as "Delusional" in my one word for every team post. They always have at least two and sometimes three future first round NFL QB's on their roster, didnt you know that!?

Which time? All three? Three out of the four times we meet in the last handful of years and we got THAT lucky?
Sweet.

1st week predictions.
I predict Memphis will be AAC Champions by demolishing a undefeated ECU in the Championship. Our no name QB lights up ECU's Heisman winner QB. Cincy and UCF will be all jelly too.

It makes more sense than ECU-UCF. Philly is an easy drive for most ECU fans and vice versa. Seems like a good fit, especially after last years debacle.

I could see ECU and Temple turning into a feisty series. The schools are located just close enough to get visiting fans which heightens the passion. It would help if the Pirates would improve in bball.

I can't wait for the game. I know someone who goes to ECU so it'll be good time so long as the weather cooperates. I hope the game is a sell-out or near sell-out to enhance the atmosphere.

Overall, I think Cincinnati, as long as they're in the AAC, has the best chance to be a legit rival. Temple had several key bball games with the Bearcats in the 90's and early 2000's. The 2000 game was ridiculous.....

A lot of kids from Jersey leave the state for collge. Options are very limited outside of Rutgers, Seton Hall, NJIT, Rowan, Rider and if you're lucky, Princeton. West Virginia, Penn State, Temple, Delaware and Maryland are also hot landing spots for Jersey kids. They don't travel north. I've spent a lot of time at Syracuse and there's not a ton of NJ students. I don't think UConn and UMass get a lot either....

Outside of CT, most UConn students come from NJ, NY, or MA.
