RE: 1st week predictions.
UCF vs FIU: UCF 45 - FIU 18.. .Close game in the first half, but UCF opens up the throttle and pulls away in the second.

UCONN vs Villanova : Villanova 28- UConn 18... It's going to be a long year in Connecticut, Villanova is too good a team and UConn is still too bad a team. It will get better as the season goes on, but not in week 1.

Tulane vs Duke : Tulane 14- Duke 45... Not a close game at all. It's going to be a hard opener for an even worse year in Nawlins.

SMU vs Baylor: Baylor 66 - SMU 3... It's a curb stomping as the B12 champions lay into a terrible SMU team. Baylor could score 70 in this one.

Navy vs Colgate : Navy 34- Colgate 10... Welcome to the American, Middies. This should be a tune-up for Navy.

Temple vs Penn State: Temple 42-Penn State 37. Temple pulls the upset at home against the Nittany Lions. Go Owls.

Tulsa vs FAU : Tulsa 27-FAU 24 (OT). A low-scoring affair that Tulsa pulls out.

ECU vs Towson : ECU 48- Towson 45 (Multiple OT). ECU gets an early scare from Towson who has nothing to lose. This one could go either way, but I'll pick ECU to pull it out in multiple OT's, out lasting Towson.

Cincinnati vs Alabama A&M : UC 70- A&M 10... Not a close game as UC runs away with it, putting 40+ on the board by half-time... Gunner comes out by the 4th, and the offense cruises on 2nd and 3rd deep guys. A sold-out Nippert rejoices.

USF vs Florida A&M : USF 32- FAMU 18... Early errors allows FAMU to stay close in the first half, but then the USF offense gets it's rhythm and pulls away in the second.

Memphis vs Missouri State : Memphis 48 (SE) Missouri State 13... Not a challenge, Memphis cruises.

Houston vs Tennessee Tech.: Houston 31- Tennessee Tech 20... Closer than it "should be," but with a rookie HC on the sidelines for his first game there is a learning curve. But Houston has the firepower to take care of things and comes away with the win. Wouldn't be surprised if Tech was leading at some point in the 3rd Quarter, but don't panic.

Tenn Tech isn't putting 20 on UH. More like 7 points and that too in garbage time. This defense will steamroll some offense's, especially the secondary. Schools that rely on the passing game will be less effective.

Not sure if you people are serious about the Townson game and I mean anything is possible and they had a good program a couple years ago but they were really bad last year and have huge concerns at quarterback this year. They were picked ninth in the CAA

If Temple scores 42 on PSU, the rest of the AAC should be worried! PSU has one of the best defenses in the country.

RE: 1st week predictions.
Even if ECU's offense is sluggish to start off the season with a new QB, our Defense should definitely be able to hold Towson to very few points. I know we're not the cream of the crop when it comes to defense, but we have been improving over the past few years, and have some really athletic, talented kids in place. Could be Ruff's best D yet.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with ECU fans over reacting to any thread that does not put ECU at the top of the list or in the most positive of lights. It gets hilarious reading the reasons why this poll is wrong, or this ranking is not done right, or the reason ECU is not higher is blah blah blah, or that person has no clue about ECU. Yep, nothing at all. Just trolling.

I would simply say that those who would pick Towson to upset ECU this season (or even keep it close) just aren't very good at picking games. No bias needed. Just like those who pick 16-seeds to beat 1-seeds in the NCAA tourney. It's a feel-good pick, but it's unrealistic.

I'd be willing to put my house on the line that Towson does not roll into Dowdy-Ficklen for a night game home-opener and beat us. Thats just preposterous.

Towson 863 ECU 2
Temple 1,245 PSU 6 (PJ Walker sets new NCAA record with 986 yds and 21 TDs in one game, he also adds in 362 yds rushing. Temple D holds PSU to 3 yds of offense and picks off 14 passes.)

Temple immediately is the favorite to win the National Championship.

We drop the football program.

RE: 1st week predictions.
FIU @ UCF - UCF wins big. Suffocates the FIU offense. The UCF crowd spends most of the day looking at their phones, making sure the stickers don't peel off of their flat brim hats, and making comments about sweet their bro's tank tops are.

Villanova @ UCONN - UCONN wins a close game. Another rough year for the Huskies.

Duke @ Tulane - Duke wins a close game. Tulane's offense sputters, but the D puts up a good fight. Probably decided by a TD at Yulman.

Baylor @ SMU - 04-jawdrop04-jawdrop04-jawdrop04-jawdrop04-jawdrop Good lord. Baylor beats the brakes off SMU.

Colgate @ Navy - Navy wins big. Welcome to the AAC!

Penn State @ Temple - Temple gets brought back to reality pretty quickly in this one. PSU rolls.

FAU @ Tulsa - C-USA takes one from us early. FAU will be too much for Tulsa.

Alabama A&M @ Cincinnati - Cincy wins big. We have to hear about Gunner Kiel for a few more weeks.

FAMU @ USF - USF by 3 TD's.

Mizzou State @ Memphis - Memphis wins big. D pitches a shutout. We have to hear about their co-co-co championship again until the first loss, regardless of the opponent.

Towson @ ECU - ECU struggles early on offense, but wins by 35+. Ruff calls off the dogs early.

Tennessee Tech @ Houston - UH wins big. No cooging going on today.
