I don't want to be celebrated, just honest intelligent discussion.

RE: Fox Sports on Big 12 expansion
UT would never sign off on the admittance of a directional/"locational" school with an endowment smaller than what they probably lost in today's selloff. Their pride would never allow it, and it would be like admitting defeat for them.

The day the other 9 do agree to it, is the day UT is off to the PAC or SEC -- if it doesn't happen sooner. I'm not saying that to pick on UCF, I think it's in the cards for them (UT) regardless if the Big 12 expands, and if they do, who the chosen ones end up being. UT is the single most valuable brand in collegiate sports, and undoubtedly would be welcomed with open arms ($$$) to any conference in America. Why stick around with Kansas State, Iowa State, UCF, and Memphis, when there's Alabama, Texas A&M, LSU and Florida? Or Stanford, UCLA, Oregon, and USC?

It's only a matter of time, UT will be gone.

Boy, things are going to get downright nasty around here when the real realignment wheels start turning.

It would become unreadable, especially with the "dude, bros" that place the value of their education/lives in what conference their sports teams play in.

But they are willing to bring in a team in the same state with a tiny following and a smaller athletic budget...ok. disregard our record vs houston, bcs win, Florida market, etc

UT can not be trusted... Many will get invites but little do they know it won't be the big1/2 they envision.

You have such a weird fixation on us being a directional school Kronke, I really don't understand it.

Because they won't be top dog anymore. Among all other benefits Texas receives they enjoy that one the most, it's what drove a&m to the SEC. If Texas' mighty ego will allow them to be just another dog in the pack they'll leave the b-12, but I think it's that same "pride" that will keep them there. Look what's happened to Texas' brand since a&am left, have they even won their own conference once? They are rapidly turning into just another also ran from perceptions outside of Texas.

I bet your a real riot at a tea party. Judge others much? Do you sit around with your friends at night swapping stories of how you overheard the wrong grammar, snytax, colloquialisms and slang throughout the day? Who knows maybe you'll start a trend of anonymous psycho-analysis. I would wager if UH doesn't get the invite, it would become unreadable even if proper English was used in every post. Good luck in any event. Btw, I'm not saying this to pick on you, just to illustrate that the grammar police are not as important as viewpoints from all socio-economic backgrounds, even if proper English is not used to convey said viewpoints.

A name change back to FTU would be the smartest thing that UCF could do right now.

yup

I'm guessing the B12 teams that remain after all said and done will be Iowa State and Kstate.

KU will be in the B1G
Texoma 4 Pac
WVA SEC/ACC
Baylor/TCU: Not sure...SEC? B1G? Pac?

The new B12 will be the best of the AAC, some MWC and KSTATE/ISU

which is better than we have now, so i take it..... even if we move baby steps at a time.

I don't think so, it will be what it will be. Anonymous posters on message boards (of which I'm one) only have opinions, but no power to make the big decisions. The conflict comes before these big decisions are made not after.
