I wouldn't say never -- just not in the immediate future. As our AD repeatedly says, "We are constantly evaluating every aspect of our program."

What BeatNavy said.

If Navy has a positive experience in the AAC then Army and Air Force will both at least consider the possibility of joining. Not saying it WILL happen, but it's a legitimate shot, 6-7 years down the road. My hunch is nothing will happen on the expansion front for a while, though. Everyone is worn out from the topic for now.

Travis Air Force Base is by San Jose. Aren't there a couple a little north of San Diego in the LA area too?

Yup...and Hickam AFB by Hawaii...but I think he is legit but his point needed more clarity.

Possibly as a response to a carefully planned and relentless campaign of political pressure and public opinion. Worked for women's suffrage, civil rights, gay rights, etc.. It's worth a try and obviously Aresco agrees, since he is already publicly pushing even without Army and Air Force.

What kind of political and public pressure is going to build on behalf of the motley island of misfits that the rest of the AAC consists of? Come on.

Stolen valor to pretend your a service member if you aren't.

I'm retired Air Force (AC-130/KC-135) and he seems legit to me...04-cheers

where do I even start with his post? "stats show"--no link to back up any of his bizzare 'stats" another point of his," there are no Air Force bases in MWC country, not named Colorado Springs" I'm not in the Air Force or MWC country but I can name..... but I won't even bother with any of this. I won't answer a fool to his folly. That post was so ridiculously fake. Good day to you my brother in arms TexanMark. Cheers to Tinker (OKC) and Kirtland (Albuquerque) Air Force Bases where i have family serving and working now!

I know...Mountain Home AFB is near Boise, Ogden Depot/Hill AFB are near Utah St, obviously USAFA and Colo St have bases nearby...I could go on it was pretty ridiculous...but he might be inferring that they recruit most of their cadets back east...and the bulk of Vets live

BTW, his name suggests he is a son of the Thud Pilot. One of the Century Series Aircraft.

For Military History geeks---> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_F...underchief

The USAFA Association of Graduates is the resource I've used in my post. The distribution of graduates in terms of their chapter size and donation dollars to be specific. The notion that a USAF base being in close proximity to a MWC program that AF plays translates into drawing fans to watch the Falcons play is a flawed notion. Unless AF is playing Navy or Army, the majority of non AFA grads at any base are going to be watching their favorite team fron their hone state play on a Saturday. Keep in mind there are a relatively small number of AFA grads in the USAF and those numbers deminish significantly as they move throughout commands and their respective bases.

While Colorado Springs obviously has a significant USAF presence off the Hill (i.e. the Academy), the participation from personnel stationed at those bases in AFA athletics has always been a struggle due to the reason already given and the outdoor lifestyle readily available to them and the civilian population of Colorado Springs.

I make no claim of being in the USAF or being a grad of the AFA. At age 55 I am proud to call myself an Air Force brat and my moniker honors my father, General George Simler, former Commander of the 18th TFW, and an F-105 "Thud Driver". I was lucky enough to inherit the legacy he left at the AFA after serving as its second AD and being the founder of the CIC Trophy.

BOLTS!

Mike Simler
