I appreciate your weigh in on the original question regarding UH athletics. Nice to have different viewpoints/angles.

Thanks Bearcat. I know I'm a visitor on this board and try to provide a different view point.

NTX-- you have issues. I don't know jeff or jml. I don't care for RaiderPower because of their constant need to beg members to pay. I already pay for the site that gets the most information from Tech-- why pay for another?

I'd like to see lot of these blow hard (not referring to you Raider Red) P5 schools attemdance after a few years with some pf our home conference slates...with no hope of winning an auto bid to a big bowl for conf champ.

I wish college athletca had a promotion/relegation system. Get some of these dead weight leeches in the lower P5 ranks out if the way and let some of us have a shot.

No offense but UH is playing the same conference opponents minus UT and A&M. Tech and Baylor meant nothing to UH fans

Will Kansas, Iowa St or K-State excite anyone? I don't think anyone in Houston cares about Oklahoma St. So what will change?

P5 status or the fact that KU, K-State, Oklahoma St, and Iowa St regularly visit Houston. Those schools won't fill UH's stadium

But when you or any tech lubbock fan try and provide misleading information of Houston in this board, all b/c you all have nothing to do in lubbock and your jealousy behavior, I have a huge problem.

RE: Houston: Serious Question
Who is the only Texas P5 school to schedule all 4 schools that were left behind?

Baylor-- SMU and TCU because of long time rivalries
Texas--- Rice and UH until bleachergate
A&M--- Rice and SMU
Tech- Rice, UH, TCU and SMU.

Why? Will UH's P5 status mean more when Oklahoma St, K-State, Iowa St and TCU plus OOC games against UTEP and Sam Houston come to town vs Tulsa, Cincy, SMU, UCF etc?

Honestly--- is there anything exciting about the 2015 Tech schedule?

Absolutely not but we have a waiting list for season tickets after a 4-8 season

UH fans want Texas Tech fans to fill their pain. I get it.

Will a UH home schedule vs
Tech
Baylor
SMU
TCU
and some OOC scrubs excite anyone in Houston?

Different times. All of those names mean something now after years of promoted status and finances (not enough to get into the playoffs in some cases but still).

And second, you brush the Big 2 off like they're nothing. One of them coming in was a big deal. As matter of fact, most years two of them came in when you factor in Our-Kansas (Arkansas). Add in a top notch non-conference foe or two and suddenly, each home slate had 2-4 great opponents fans wanted to see. So in essence, UH is not playing the same schedule as it was, not even close.

During the later years, the dome was empty for Arkansas. The Big 2 brought in fans to help UH. UH fans hope Texas Tech is in the same position as UH but will that really help UH.

Seems to me, Tech helps UH by scheduling UH.

Don't flatter yourself...

Having real cities like Cincinnati Philadelphia Dallas Memphis for example is 1000 times more important than traveling to the non existing ZERO market town as lubbock.

RE: Houston: Serious Question

Oh please, the atmosphere was electric for UH-Texas Tech 6 years ago and the closeness of the game enhanced it. By comparison, any team in the AAC would need to be undefeated playing an undefeated UH to garner that hype and even then there's nothing like playing a big time regional foe. Maybe SMU could garner that since they're closeby.

What was your comment? You said UH was playing the same conference opponents and they are not. If Arky came in every other year, they'd be UH's best conference opponent in many ways most years and it wouldn't even be close. A 2-8 Arkansas team would travel more fans and hype up more UH fans than an 10-0 Tulsa.

No AAC opponent comes even close, except maybe UConn, who is flagship but halfway across the continent.

Dude, I never said the 6 years ago game vs tech was not electrifying, I remember I was there... And the Southern Miss game, I was there too.

Raider Red...

I know you are not here trolling and I do appreciate your input, but I disagree with you on your comment about home attendance not being affected regadless of being in the B12 or AAC.

Lets be honest. Which home slate will
most likely have better attendance by year end:

A
Texas
Ok St
Iowa St
Baylor
-most likely at least two or three teams ranked
-and if you win conference you get auto access bowl bid

B
Tulsa
Temple
UCF
UC
-Most likely nobody ranked, one max
-Win this conf and you get a pos bowl vs g5 team or a .500 p5

Come on...you know the truth man.
