Ohio St - no

Ole Miss- we should. They lost a lot of a team that was pretty equal to Memphis this year. A lot will depend on where the game is played. Heard one of the local talk shows a day or 2 ago saying that the new OM arena wont be ready until SEC play starts in Jan. Memphis apparently has it in the contract that we will only play in the new arena and not Tad Pad. If the game is here, then Memphis should win. Not saying that we will, but that's a game we should win at home.

RE: CJP year end press conference
tOSU will have likely lost three starters (and lottery pick Russell) and four guys total from a team that was only about 7 deep...and they were a 10 seed this season.

Will have to rely on frosh, so I wouldn't bank on them being ranked ahead of Memphis in the preseason.

With all the disappointment with Pastner and this past season--which I share--I read a post like this and I still manage to get excited 7 months early about the upcoming season. Big raucous crowd in the Forum, whipping Ole Miss, sounds good.

I'm with you. It's kinda strange to just go dead quiet on everything makes u think something is going on behind the scenes. I'm not a Pastner supporter but would like to hear his thoughts on the year and his plans for the future. I know that makes me a hater and a bad fan. The whole situation is bizarre really. I guess maybe this academic thing may have something to do with it. I dunno. I will always be a tiger fan but it's a difficult time to be one now for sure. Leadership is lacking in a big way. Just want to hear something, anything?

RE: CJP year end press conference
It was mostly about the teams in the Final Four. When he was asked specifically about the Tigers, he said basically the same things that everyone with any sense already knows.
That they were young and weak at the guards and started off slow, got way better, then suffered injuries that probably cost them at least four losses.
As far as next year? With everyone of importance back and a top ten incoming class, he expects to be back in the top 25.

Everyone of importance; shows how much he thought of Pookie and Nick. Not a good statement from Pastner, paraphrased or not.

They removed themselves. Do you expect to give them glowing praise?

Everyone with any sense saw it coming over a year earlier, but only one person could've done anything about it. Odd thing is, some still can't admit he has any responsibility for it.
