That is just so long ago, I personally don't think it is relevant. But we will see. Hopefully, Kent State isn't dead from games and travel and comes out and puts a whoopin' on them.

Probably will be a 2-3 point favorite like last game.
EDIT: KSU opens as 1.5 favorites.

RE: MAC BBall WK19 (3/15 - 3/21) Tournament Time
From Rob Senderoff: "I couldn't be prouder of the effort tonight," said Kent State head coach Rob Senderoff. "We were down 10-0 right off the bat and trailed by seven late, but our guys never got frustrated. They kept fighting and making plays. Jimmy Hall was fantastic. When he picked up his fourth foul with four minutes to play, it could have really hurt us. But Derek Jackson, Devareaux Manley, Kris Brewer and everyone who stepped on the floor kept us in the game. And then when Jimmy came back at about the seven-minute mark, he pretty much took over."
Don't know if this is more MAC site stupidity or what. Maybe some bizarre time-warp?

Flashes trail 25-23 at the half. Jimmy Hall is only 1-10 from the field. Lots of missed layups by him tonight. Still like our chances though.

Kent loses by 1in OT. Bench goes 3-17. Hall and Manley turned their shooting woes around but couldn't get them over the hump.

RE: MAC BBall WK19 (3/15 - 3/21) Tournament Time
One of the worst ways to lose a game is to give it away. NAU virtually won the lottery in that final half-minute.
Think of the ways that would likely have changed the outcome.
0:41 Kent guy makes the second free throw instead of missing. KSU up six, NAU is probably trying to shooting a three instead of being fouled at the hoop.
0:32 Still up five; KSU needs NOT to foul. The clock would have continued at least a couple of seconds more, plus NAU can't set up as good of a full-court press unless they call a time out.
0:28 Turnover KSU. I didn't see the game (the video went out on me), but it's said the NAU defender fouled the Kent guy on the elbow, which made him lose the ball. Refs call the game tight all night, but not on this play. (Classic home-court advantage call; sometimes that's just the way it is).
0:17 KSU still up one with the shot clock turned off. Inexplicably a Kent player tries a layup and gets his shot blocked. Even if you make it, you are allowing the other team plenty of time to try to tie the game. Once again, keep the clock running; it was your friend!
0:12 NAU makes the winning layup. Notice it takes only five seconds for that to happen. Was a NAU player sandbagging or was the shot contested? If the latter, THEN at this point of the game it should have been imperative to commit a hard foul, stopping the clock and making the opponent to tie or take the lead from the charity stripe.
0:00 Down one, apparently KSU took their time bringing the ball up the court and wound up with a bad three point attempt. In this situation, you need to bring it up the court fast and attack the basket.
Oh well; I feel your pain. Back at the Bahamas Bowl, there are still fifty other final plays CMU could have run instead of that stupid low percentage fade to the corner.
