I wouldn't. USM is a dumpster fire right now. Tulane is looking up. BB and FB are improving, new stadium, Great location, Great academics.

Now you went full retard. we beat you far more than a couple of games? 23-7 is more than a couple of games. Your our *****. As down as we have been we would still beat you today. IN fact just about what a week and a half ago we beat your world class baseball team again.
Your the bottom feeder in a league that gets barely more tv money than we do now. Your no better off in fact most outsiders think the move to the aac will be the worst thing to ever happen to your football team.
How many times will your administration have to revitalize it before they shut the thing down? New cracker box size stadium with the same problem. Empty seats from local corporations being strong armed into buying tickets they dont use. With the rise of the University of Louisiana program your now at least 4th in your own city behind LSU, Tech, ULL and even southeastern.
Can you pick up a radio broadcast outside of new orleams when tulane is playing? Hardly. Southern Miss has a radio affiliate INSIDE new orleans. And our new obscure tv network is available on YOUR cable system.
Tulane is nothing but a center for northern liberals and will never be a major player in athletics.

04-bow I'd trade Tulane for USM right now if I could.

You'd rather go to Hadesburg than New Orleans for a road trip? I'm not sure you availed yourself of the full Pirate experience when you were at ECU.

IMO, football competitiveness and markets are the primary factors. Academics and basketball are important, but secondary. So - the football category and AD revenue are the main focus, along with the television ratings and DMA's delivered.

It would be nice to see the categories shared with more recent data. In other words, show the most recent football performance and NCAA bids for the last 10 years and last 5 years.

Boise St. is clearly still at the top of the list. They have the most competitive football and easily deliver the best TV ratings. The Bronco's drawbacks are:
- small local market
- poor academics
- lack of basketball history - although they are trending upwards.

Does this mean I won't have to deal with any more Army to the AAC suggestions?

Army would be welcomed to the AAC in a minute if they wanted it. It would be perfect for tv negotiations having army and navy.

Plus, Army brings a tradition of winning since 1783 and winning on the road. We have the finest road victories stemming from Europe to Africa to Asia and everywhere in between. We have beaten mid-majors (Indians, Mexico), terrorism (Barbary Pirates), old blue bloods (Spain) and the big dogs (Germany, Japan, England).

UCF won the Fiesta Bowl. We won TWO World Wars! 04-rock

And we are P5. Just saying.

It is beautifully ironic, that I am a Pittsburgh Pirates fan. 03-lmfao

And where does that leave ECU sports?
I'm sure you realize that in every sport, except football, Tulane outperformed ECU in C-USA.
Name the sport - baseball, women's basketball, men's basketball (at least we had 3 NITs in C-USA), volleyball, golf, tennis....Tulane > ECU in C-USA.

I don't subscribe to 16s silly stuff, especially on USM which is a good school that takes its business seriously. They also do a good bit of research (As does UTEP, and, obviously, Rice...the longest standing members do the research - imagine that). As lazy and inept as Tulane's current AD is in many ways, USM was disserved by some of its employees and they don't have the resources to recover quickly. The only animus I hold to C-USA teams is when they backstabbed us by voting to curtail talks on the MWC alliance and then going sunbelt expansion. Oh things worked out better for Tulane in the end (getting the AAC call), but not so well for the backstabbers (although some of them have exactly what they wanted and all have what they deserve). and we ended up better. so it's all worked out.

Sure you could do that if you wanted this conference to drop below the Sun Belt. We bring the market, we bring the academics. They bring debt, a tiny market, and no history of athletic success. Some of you people just don't understand how lucky you are to have Tulane in this conference.
And what athletic success does Tulane bring again?

Who cares? We have a market and you do not, we are going up and you are regressing. We will always be better then you no matter what the scoreboard indicates. That is the new age of college athletics and I like it.

Ah.. Delusional Tulane poster is delusional. Thanks for clearing it up.

Bro don't make this difficult. You know we wanted you, and we still want you, but that ***** Boise just had to ruin things for us.

Yup. Assuming we don't get into the PAC 12 or BIG XII I still believe there will be a merger of the best schools from the AAC and MWC in the not so distant future.

Other than Rice and Air Force these other schools are tier 2 academic institutions and not top nationally with the prestige attached. Add BYU as an AAC candidate.

I will be called crazy for this, but I would like to see the AAC go after Charlotte in a strictly tv ratings move. If they could get better, and develop a rivalry with ECU over time, that could do a lot for the footprint.

For the parallel move, as much as all of us would like to see BYU join in, it would more likely be a Georgia Southern.

LMAO. I miss the Tulane vs. USM arguments.

I want Southern Miss on the football schedule again. It would be a good pillow fight and the locals would show up to watch.

Modern college football has ruined the local spirit.

Not that matters much, but you included UMass in some areas and left them out in others as Top 10 in Revenue with 33.9Mill and NCAA appearances 9 and NIT appearances 13.
