I recall that game well, though I don't know that I'd characterize it so harshly. I thought it was more of a "kicking your asses so hard that your noses bled" kinda of thing.

Anyway, it's developed into a really fine rivalry.

I like the "idea" of calling this a rivalry, but can you really call it that, when only one side's been doing all the winning . ..

Using examples relevant to the state of Georgia.....are the rivalries of UF/UGA and GT/UGA not apparent?

They're both pretty one sided.

The examples you cite also have a longer history than TX ST/ULL. Don't get me wrong, I think this could develop into a great rivalry, just don't think it's there yet . .

Are those historically one sided or only recently (last 10 years or so)?

For our fanbase, we have played the Cajuns twice, and we are 0-2 in those games. Moreover, we always seem to play them early in the season, so we can't really even point to that game and go "those MF'ers cost us a bowl bid!"

Yes, I believe there was a top 25 game at the same time as the Troy/GS game.

Florida State v Louisville was on at the same time.

What were the numbers last year for all SBC ESPN games? Keep in mind ESPN2 is in 85% of homes while The U is in under 70%.

Who cares? Mighty LaLa's record against App is 0-1. 03-lmfao

ESPN2:
Arkansas State @ South Alabama - Tuesday, October 13

Texas State @ Georgia Southern - Thursday, October 29
Arkansas State @ Appalachian State - Thursday, November 5
Louisiana Lafayette @ South Alabama - Thursday, November 12
Louisiana Monroe @ Texas State - Thursday, November 19

I'm just happy that we have 5 on Saturday. Having 2 on Thursday last season (and only 3 on Saturday) kept me from buying season tickets.

I think TXST will draw pretty well in Statesboro. No offense to our home opponents last year, but with the exception of App, we didn't have any 'contenders' visit Paulson.

I used to be the kid that was taken to Georgia Southern events all over the place (never football though) during the week. Having to get up for school the next morning wasn't any fun, but I wouldn't change getting to see the Eagles play as much as I did for anything.

I have to assume that the "skins" in "eagleskins" is a foreskin since you are definitely a d**khead. 04-chairshot
