If that is your starting 5, here is the years experience playing for UC:

Ask around, that's pretty young.

Don't worry, we will. Heck, Cincinnati almost beat you in your gym so I'm shocked you're the first one talking trash. Cincinnati basketball will be back, I'm pumped.

Gee Mark give us a break. Cronin barely got a team together for this past season. It's a step in the right direction.

You would think that Syracuse, who has a football program in the crapper yet rave about how they'll be back, wouldn't be talking trash.

Nice diversion. When you really cannot talk smack about bb, talk smack about something that you can. lmfao

Louisville's team this year wasn't exactly full of gray hairs.

I'm putting aside my opinion of the prospects of UC success next season, because that is irrelevant, as is UofL to this discussion at all. It wasn't about success, it was about whether you'd call that lineup young. I'll stand by my statment that a grand total of 2 seasons played for 5 starters is a young team.

As for UofL, the starters before Palacios' injury had a total of 7 prior seasons played at UofL. That is a young team. However, what does that make a team with a total of 2? Very young I say.

There isn't a need for argument really. Its just that UC will be young, even if half the team are jucos by age/grade.

Top 10 in conference next year. Top 8 the next. Who knows from there. I just know that in less than one year of recruiting these kids Mick will have pulled in 4 top 150 kids including 2 top 50 and a former MCD's AA. I like the way we are headed.

That game with Gerry hitting that miracle shot is still painful. After James White's bucket and Downey steal, I thought we had it locked up. Then Downey misses a freebie and McNamara pulls a miracle shot right out of his a$$ 03-hissyfit

Missed field goals is all apart of the game.

What I mean is Mike Williams played two years at Texas and had a double double in the Sweet Sixteen. Adam Played on a Polish National team and JC ball here in the States. Both NBA type bodies and have practiced with the Cats for a year. Williamson and Vaughn have already been thru the Big East for a year. UC returns at least Four others who have started in Big East games before. UC has two top 50 kids and maybe a thrid on the
way. Two other top 150 kids. I think UC will be VERY competitive and have SOME experience to boot.

I'm sure we will--I love this league

Every game I sit down to watch I expect it'll be decided in the last minute.

Cinci fans: Are you guys expecting a jump in season tix next year with the new FB coach? I'd love to see Cinci get a consistent 30-35k in the stadium. The stadium/campus looks so much better from what I remember compared to when that old steam plant was there.

UC has provided some good season ticket plans and they have also incorporated a $50 credit into season tickets towards a bowl game ticket to build up the numbers for bowl game pre-sales.

UC is planning a big day for the Spring game with several other sports events on the same day such as baseball.

I would expect season tickets to go up some, not significantly. But I would also expect the average attendance to rise considerably since UC has WVU and UofL at home, plus a non-conf game with Oregon St (although it's a Thursday night national tv game). UC also hosts Marshall which should be a good draw and they will bring a lot of fans.

As a Card fan I fully expect UC to shock you guys that aren't familiar with them except during these two down years. Cronin is a good coach and will get them in the top half of the Big East in a year or two IMHO.

Thanks Card....I know a lot of people like to say "UC isn't in CUSA anymore but that really isn't the issue...this UC team wouldn't have won CUSA last year or this year...it's just a down times for us. I don't know if we will be top 5 BE next year but Mick will get it going. We used to be Top 10 in nation every year...now we can't even finish top 10 in conference. We are truly having down years right now..as expected. But, we'll be back. Mick has done a tremendous job in a short time and next years class is vastly improved. I'd look for us to get back on the national scene in another two years or so.

Good luck in the NCAA.!!!! Go Cards!

Yeah, the Big East fans have big egos. We'll see how big their egos are when the real Cincinnati teams returns and starts kicking some ass. Probably starting next year since we'll have size, depth and quality guard play.

College football has never been on the radar in the Cincinnati sports market. Remember we've only been a BCS member two years. It is going to take us winning 10 games to gain a consistent following. Kelly's personality will help a lot but in this fair weather city if you're not winning it doesn't matter.

Claw: I dont know if next year's team will do this. We will be better for sure but still not even close to when we had teams with Kmart, Logan, Fortson, etc. I still think we are a few years out. Nancy Z really set us back.
