You are right, WKU does not have a chance 01-wingedeagle01-wingedeagle...

The Arizona Cardinals began the season 9-1. Just my opinion man. I don't think WKU is as good as their record. UTEP, and ODU are better than theirs.

Guess we're in trouble if Palmer tears his ACL03-zzz

WKU collapse starts now. Can't wait for the beat down in Norfolk on March 7th.

I actually agree, I think we still lose another 2-3 games with the amount of road games left...

WKU had LA Tech's complete attention tonight. The Dawgs are playing with much more focus than they were earlier. Hopefully both teams will keep winning lots of games this year.

CUSA tourney is UABs to lose. Proven that life on the road is hard and UAB has the home court this year and playing well.

LA Tech was only 4 of 20 (.200) from behind the 3-point line tonight. That's ridiculously bad. If we just do a half ass job of making our open 3's tonight, we run those guys out of the gym.

I totally agree. They keep getting better and better. Here's hoping our young guys can keep up.

How did you lose to UNT?

They shot 70% from the field including the three in the first half and we couldnt catch up. Got as close as 1, but they played really well. I don't think they will escape Ruston with the win though.

Congrats to the Bulldogs. Just plain laid the hickory stick to my Toppers tonite. Your defense was stifling. You will likely be the regular season conference champs if you continue with this type of play. WKU no doubt benefitted from a nice home stand, but we will be a factor before all is said and done. Glad to be a member of a conference that cares about the round ball.

At least the Lady Toppers won tonite!

RE: La Tech vs WKU game thread
congrats to tech. really nice team. gave all of our guards fits. i haven't seen a bad team yet in conference play. all games on the road will be tough. the only thing i see that could bother tech in the conference tourney is the game slows down. not sure they're built for a half-court game but with their point god they'll be in every game.

Just because he was outside the circle doesn't automatically make it a charge. That play is called a block 95% of the time. If not more.

A reach around slap at the ball is usually called 95% of the time as well....

Uh, no.

A posterizing dunk is almost NEVER called a charge. Maybe 2-3 times in my entire life have I seen it called a charge. It is almost universally a block. If not then it is left as a no call. But not a charge.

However think about how many times you've seen reach around tap aways not called. Sure its called a foul but it is very often not called. Its usually pretty easy to see if the player got any arm or hand on those taps and then they are called. Otherwise it is play on.

I was at that game. Combination of worst defense/best shooting maybe in the history of mankind in the first half. With about 5 minutes left in the first half UNT was shooting 88% including a whole bunch of 3s. And it was like there was a lid on the basket we were shooting at. Lots and lots of missed short chip shots etc. Second half made a comeback and pulled within 1 but it took lots of energy and just didn't have enough to finish. Hand it to UNT, they won it in the first half. Oh and fouls were like 24 to 7 or something like that, but I won't blame it on refs.

WKU was lucky to survive at FAU when they hit 15 three pointers . Being one of the top teams will always earn you a bullseye on your back.

They are but they can't do things alone. Your speed took our bigs completely out of the game tonight and our freshman were freshman

Below average On 3's but those midrange shots fell all night at a ridiculous rate. Which more than made up for a few missed threes

You are correct. Those two are dynamite, but they didn't get much help from the supporting cast. Keep on winning.

I can see losing 3 or 4 road games, but I cannot see us losing another home game...13 and 5 more than likely gets us at least the 4th seed and bye...You do know CUSA tournament is at a neutral location right? Unless you play UAB...I like WKU just as much as any team I have watched so far in CUSA on an neutral floor.....Not saying we are prohibitive favorites but I am confident WKU can be lumped into about 5 teams with a good chance of winning conf. tournament.....Funny you think we are overrated but UAB has comparable schedule we have had are not overrated or worse than record...
