RE: AAC 2015 composite recruiting rankings
The top 25 Memphis Tigers were behind in scholarships and were able to sign a HUGE class of 32. In that class we have a four star and 17 three stars. Two Parade AA mentions. Fuente's best class at Memphis. 04-rock

UCF will still finish with the highest average recruit ranking. Won't finish in the top spot due to class size. Quality>quantity

Hey now we're all on the same side. At least we can say at least five AAC teams finished higher than the first place MAC, SBC, or CUSA team

Yeah, that's a good thing I guess. What makes this even more surprising is that makes Cinci's 5th WR this class I believe. UCF lost 5 wr's this year and are only signing 3? Just seems odd.

It just seems odd that UCF is siging so few, its already almost 2 and they still have 3 slots left. I wonder if they will get filled.

We are signing these kids for next year's losses, not this year's. We lose pretty much every WR on our two deep (which is 8 in our offense) in the next two years, so these guys will be the future, and are probably all, with the exception of Lewis, going to be redshirted.

That makes sense on your end. Just still not sure why we only signed 3 WR's and didnt have a back up plan for Lewis.

Atleast according to espn I think we had the highest rated class. Very close finish at the top in 247 USF and Cinci 1 and 2 with UCF in 3rd. All finished between 162 and 160. Looks like there will be an influx of talent into the AAC next year. Congrats to everyone.

UC's 24/7 had been saying Lewis to UC for weeks. I thought no need to bring it up with so many WVU and UCF peeps so sure he was headed there.

He's a great get for us. Will really help with the WR departures after 2015. Another awesome class, I see no reason our program is slowing down.

Interested in this class we signed. We supposedly got some freshmen that will make an impact early on. I am surprised at the number of kids we signed from the state of Alabama.

Question for usf, why has Khalid Mcgee not sent in his LOI yet? He looks like one of your highest rated commits but rivals has him still listed as not yet signed. Is there any reason to worry?

That is exactly my question, why not use all the scholarships unless they plan on giving them to a walk-on's.

While its National Signing Day...its also the beginning of the Signing PERIOD...as UCF has in recent years offered LOI's to others, even weeks after NSD.

Add the fact that more players are transferring each off-season (let alone 5th year graduate seniors), having an extra scholarship could come in handy...vs being forced to fill up your class on NSD...as most of those are 4-5 year commitments.

Those that are just starting to following recruiting probably don't know about late offers/signees/transfers, etc...let alone the walk-on or two that end up earning scholarships after a year or two (or three).

UCF never signs a lot of players. I'm still waiting on our class of 25. I don't understand how we can continue to win by signing 16-19 players every year.

Sounds like yall must have a good preferred walkon system set up.

They probably take strong advantage of redshirt balancing and transfers way more so than walk-on programs

Not sure where you are reading this. All our recruits sent in their LOIs from what I have heard.

Actually i really think its all 3. We almost always have some sort of transfer every year (such as Storm Johnson... Demeitre Brim from Virginia is eligible this year), we've seen significant contribution from walk ons (preferred and not) (JJ Worton and Brandon Alexander), as well as redshirt balancing (Tre'Quan Smith would have seen playing time this year if he didn't have a loaded depth chart in front of him)
