This seems like a scientific survey. These posts always remind me of the commercials with Santa Claus and the M&Ms. They do exist!

I always want to strike up a conversation when I see a UCF (or any other AAC team) fan but you never know if they are a sports fan and I don't want to have some awkward conversation seeing as a UCF grad that doesn't follow sports would probably not know much about ECU and wonder why I was mentioning that.

A guy at my gym (in Hartford) this weekend was wearing an ECU hat.

Well I met an ECU military alum overseas one time. #global #INTERnationalBrand

Someone screamed out of a car (or cab) in Aruba one time "Go Pirates ARggg"

I had just finished my first semester and I was so confused on what he meant at first. Then I realized my purple ECU shirt.

Anyone in aruba December 2008 around xmas time by chance?

Dont ECU fans say that they never see UCF at all in Orlando/Disney World?

Stupid argument

I've been fairly active in local and statewide political campaigns (as a worker bee, not a mover and shaker) over the last 30+ years and I think this is a lot like campaign signs. It is much more of an illustration of individual enthusiasm than it is quantity of support. Don't count on it to tell you much, but putting them up (signs) / wearing them (team T's, caps, jackets) provides supporters an opportunity to be a part of the team and feel like they are contributing to the cause.
