this is probably a long term plan (probably more like a concept), I wouldn't expect all these improvements before next year (although that'd be sweet to bowl in the endzone before MSU came). Wasn't the bowling of the endzone in the master plan back when floyd was here? I can't remember if it actually made it in or if it was just speculation. While we are spending money lets put in that pedestrian bridge over stadium drive that was in the plans 15 years ago.

yeah, it's likely like the new hockey arena is (sadly), just talk until all of the funding can be acquired. It does help sell the idea of the future of the program to recruits.

Likes:
- A new videoboard would be fantastic.
- I've never really cared for our temporary end zone bleachers, especially since the Seeyle Center was built and led to a much nicer set of permanent bleachers on that end zone side. I'm all for some type of permanent set of bleachers being constructed in the other end zone.
- I had never heard of the idea of constructing a crosswalk over Stadium Drive. I like this idea.
Dislikes:
- IMO Waldo is the most beautiful stadium in the MAC. Creating a bowl would obstruct one of the hills and, therefore, greatly reduce Waldo's charm - and to what ends? Which leads to my other dislike...
- ...I may be in the minority, but IMO it makes no sense to add an extra 5-10K seats to Waldo unless we are regularly selling out and there is a clear need for the extra seats (which, as we know right now, is clearly not the case). Drawing a once-every-few-years huge crowd like next year's MSU game does not justify adding what will usually end up being thousands of additional empty seats.

I'm sure that this is a long term plan, which would not be started until we are drawing bigger crowds. But this is sort of what I had envisioned as a start. This rendering looks like it includes an expanded pressbox, as well.
I would love to see the plan include:
- more suites in that bowled in endzone along the top
- Ribbon boards above the suites in that bowled in endzone, from where it begins to curve to the scoreboard on each side (sort of like MSU)
- An alumni Club/lounge in the center of endzone (put the scoreboard above it). Suites would butt up against it on each side.
One can dream, right?
First, let's see WMU win 9+ games for a few years. If bigger crowds DON'T materialize, forget it as it is hopeless.

Makes no sense to expand unless we are looking to position ourselves for a new conference if things hit the fan with the p5 schools. We aggressively marketed ourselves for a better hockey conference, I suspect we'd do the same for football if it came to it.
